These days, once I see a thoughty2 video, I click no questions asked. He is such a joy
Ur being gae
Agreed. Always happy to see a thoughty2 upload. 😊
Miss the days when he uploaded more frequent....
But that he still does his job for us is amazing anyway
Thoughty gives the vibe of an innocent side character of a show who ends up being master manipulator behind everything
He's one of the greatest info channels of all time...

Try saying that fast 3 times!
That goes hard af' ngl
Your frequent use of alliteration is always a delight. What wonder of words will we witness? Truly, time tends to tell. Never stop. =)
Never noticed ‘ntil now. Nice.
T42 is so weird... This channel is trying so hard to have a scammy clickbait titles, but when you click on the video you actually get like five times more information in a high quality content than you ever expected.
Yeah i don't know why he started using ai thumbnails they look so bad. A good cinematic/professional thumbnail would be 10x better!

The plane being below the radar and dropping the drug's on a boat was literally a Grand Treft Auto 5 mission ! . Thats pretty cool . Unlike him I didn't get caught :) i died 6 times tho during that mission
Gta VC you mean ?
@@nightking8490couldn’t have been vice city. The flying physics were so awful it was nearly impossible to keep the plane off the ground
@nightking8490 no it was gta 5 One of the 2nd missions all 3 together I think . Trevor Franklin Michael
There was a plane mission in GTA San Andreas similar to that. Took me forever to complete it
@@adampaul454 San Andreas was the best GTA ever created imo. Obviously it’s old af and graphics aren’t as good but as games go that thing was just ridiculous. Loved breaking in to houses at night. Loved all of the missions with the trippy hippy pot guy and breaking in to Area 51. Man what a game that was.
Perfect timing. Im in a thoughty mood 2 watch Arran. That "Barry" joke got me 😂
So he basically traded 10 years in prison for a 3 week death sentence?
Haha yep
He would very likely be killed in a prison anyway, because I am sure there were plenty of people from the cartel
it's hard to believe that he would have lasted any longer inside.
Just when you think there is no one else in history to cover, here he is proving us wrong!.
I bet he has at least forty two new ideas.
Probably more.

“Coke & Gators Don’t Mix”: coming to a theatre near you this summer
You almost got to the part where he flew that C130 into Mena Arkansas during the late 70s/early 80s. And the story gets much deeper from there…
Shhhh. You are the 1st to touch on a former Arkansas governor. IVE SAID TOO MUCH!!!
Seal was working with the CIA and DEA and those Nicaraguan regulars shown in the photos were actually Contras dressed as Sandinistas. This all being a ruse to generate support for Reagan's illegal war in the region. Additionally, the very same aircraft Seal used, a Fairchild C-123 cargo plane, tail number N4410F was the one shot down by Sandinista forces and Eugene Hasenfus was captured. This was what unravelled the Iran/Contra scandal nearly sinking Regan and oliver North plus exposed the CIA's involvement in massive cocaine smuggling which they were then distributing in crack form thus reaping huge profits and destroying the Black community simultaneously. Incidentally, that C-123 can be traced to its ownership by Air America, a CIA front tat smuggled narcotics during the Vietnam War, coincidence??
Don’t play in train tracks kids
@@hmu958You mean the former president, now sidekick of a crime family boss.
This story has earned my seal of approval!
My mom, dad and I were probably the first to see Barry after he was killed. I grew up in Baton Rouge. The Salvation Army that was on Florida Blvd was also a halfway house that Barry was staying at. We were driving on Florida Blvd headed in the direction of Earl K. Long Hospital which would put the Salvation Army on our right side. We saw Barry right after he was shot to death. There is a correction to the story though he was not shot outside his car, he was inside his car with they got him. We could see him slightly slumped down in the passenger seat with his legs still sticking out his driver door. Bullet holes riddled the entire side of the car. The police hadn’t even arrived yet. We passed the ambulance that was headed to him that turned off of Prescott Dr. on to Florida Blvd. They had caused an accident at that intersection by the McDonalds while trying to get to Barry. We didn’t even know who it was until it was reported on the news. We just happened to be there right after it happened.
Thoughty! I've been watching ever since RIF compilations, been loving it for years. I really recommend making YT Shorts, lots of exposure. Maybe bring back RIF, but you'll know best to make great shorts!
Hey Arran! Been watching you for the greater part of a decade. Your consistency over the years is truly inspiring! Great work man. Cheers
Noticed the new editing techniques, and I have to say I'm loving em' ❤
Because of Barry’s involvement in the drug trade he is responsible for all those who died of murder or overdose of the drugs he transported. He is responsible for the suffering of the families of those who were addicts of the drugs he transported. That being said it is hard to feel sorry for the guy. However, due to his cooperation with the Fed’s he should have been given protection for two reasons: 1, other criminals who are given a chance to reduce their sentence by cooperating with authorities will be less inclined to do so given the fate of Barry. 2, if Barry had lived it would have given him the opportunity to analyze his life and possibly reform himself.
Watching this story in "American Made" makes you cheer for this dude, but watching Narcos makes you realise, he deserved everything that happened to him.
Yes, I'm somewhere in the middle. I agree with what you're saying he chose to get in bed with bad people and he didn't have to be an informant he did that to get out of trouble which he brought on himself.
I was just gonna say he just summed up American made, he was good but he bit off a lot more than he could chew
Tom Cruise is just too likeable in the role. I think it's one of his best too. I love to see actors who look like they are just having a blast play a part

In one way, I guess that he was hoping to be taken out quickly like he was. He'd have known what awaited him if taken to Escobar. A bunch of bullets and lights out before he hit the deck was a more... _merciful_ death.

That day you hit the Thoughty2 notification just right
I love all you videos and how you make them so funny and educational. Do you take requests by any chance? I would really like to see Bonnie and Clyde with your style.
I lived in Baton Rouge for a few years in the early 1980s and have a vague recollection where the Salvation Army building was. Better recollection where you could get a great shrimp po-boy.
Saw the title and thought, “this is going to be about drugs”
6:40 GPS Co-ordinates? This was 1981 and while the first GPS satellite had been launched then it was in testing and certainly not available to civilians, even ones as well connected as the cartel so no. This part is crap.
You could still get coordinates off a map.
@@maiaallman4635 or from an INS system, yes but not a GPS and yes I'm being pedantic.
Using map references from a self determined bulleye would be better as that way if the feds were listening in they'd not got a solid location.
Yeah 1981 must of had a predetermined drop point arranged and folks on the ground to collect the contraband I imagine most of the drops were successful due to the amount of money earned per flight.
Animations are improving. Good job!
Ngl it seems like they should've made more of an effort to keep their informant alive, even if he did smuggle some drugs lmao
Dayum that editing at the start was great

I wonder how much hush money "Lolita Express" pilots were paid.
I wonder how many simply didn't know.
@@DobleWhiteAndStabley every pilot is aware of their manifest. It's especially important on smaller private jets because of weight. To assume those pilots didn't know of the young girls on a plane with billionaires and powerful world leaders is absurd.

I'm only just at the beginning of the video, but I've always wondered about all the other people who participated in drug cartels.. yet mostly you only get documentaries about the main guy (like Pablo Escobar). The others, however pulled in & whatever they did, must have also been some characters, I've often thought. And here you bring us just one of those. Thanks Thoughty2! 🤗

I'm very devastated, i need help, i lost $15,000 in a live trade because of bad decisions. How do i recover?
I’ve actually seen videos of cartel executions in Brazil and Mexico. Chainsaws are almost merciful. Many times they just use serrated Bowie knives or hammers. Takes a lot longer.
"Alligator chomping down on your stash." Alestorm has a song about that. "CHOMP CHOMP!"
3:29 THIS RIGHT THERE is the reason why criminals return to do crimes, they are not given a choice. Even if you get out of the prison changed and clean from thoughts to do a crime, nobody is willing to hire you, so once again, you end up with no work and no money, and the only choice is doing crime again. This is a complete failure of society in reintegrating people into the world. IN my opinion, companies should not have access to your criminal history unless the crime you did is straight related to that work
Barry Seal! Count Dankula needs to do a Mad Lads video on him!
It’s always a good day when I hear the sentence “Hey, Forty-two here”
The war on drugs is futile, as one Cartmel dies another takes it's place, legalising drugs is the only way forward. One man in the UK lost both of his sons in one night after they took ecstacy, he's campaigning for drugs to be legal. He said that legalising them would ensure that the ingredients would be as dangerous, I tend to agree with him because you are never going to stop use
"sinister snow". I'm gonna hang on to that one.
And now, the much awaited sequel to 'Cocaine Bear', we give you... 'Cocaine Gator'!
Dope ass video my man 👍
This is a great companion piece to the documentary
"Cocaine Cowboys" 🤠
My comment has nothing to do with this video but I have a question. Have you done a video on the Romanov Family? The history of Tsar Nicholas II and his family has always interested me. 🧐
If youre an informant you should be given protection without a doubt
Love that Seal actually got clubbed on the head 😂
so that GTA San Andreas mission where you have to fly an airplane low and drop off drugs is inspired by his real life!
"So who are we gonna get to fly the narcotics, Kevin ?"
"...............Nah, we'll get Barry to do it..."
if more gangsters had non threatening names like "barry" or norman" instead of "psycho" or "stabber" then maybe they could evade the police just that little bit longer ??

I drive the road that was once a dirt road runway he used in Gramercy Louisiana also only place you can grow Perique tobacco. Also tons of sugar cane.
The thing that gets me is the incident that cost him his legitimate job as an airline pilot in the first place: agreeing to smuggle C4 for "Cuban rebels". Ok, they were federal agents, who could claim that he should've just turned them down. But what if they really had been legit rebels? Then he'd have info on them--a liability that they'd need to dispose of. Regardless of the money offered, would anyone turn down a deal like that if they valued their life?
That probation was a death sentence
Louisiana is misspelled on the map
How does that handshake at 5:52 work😂

Double LL's in Spanish is typically pronounced as a Y. Depends on what Spanish speaking country but in Columbia that's the case.
