Hello Wildflowers! In this episode, sit down with me as I brainstorm ways to complete my passion project 'Wild Faerie Magick' and, with some divine assistance, come up with an inspired idea - to create the artist journal of my dreams! We'll enjoy a relaxing day of bookbinding with Mr. Rose and take our new 'Book of Light' to the park to sit and paint under the whispering willow trees. I so hope you enjoy it xx

I've watched this twice! The journals are so beautiful! The days here are getting noticeable longer, finally and I'm looking forward to when the crocuses poke their purple head up in February, signaling that spring is getting closer. Happy New Year everyone!

Oh, this video encouraged me to do the complete process for a book I'm writing and illustrating for a special child. Since it is just for her, personalized, I just didn't know how to bring all pages together in a unique but not highly expensive way. I didn't think about doing it myself. Your journal is just wonderful and so beautiful. Seeing the process, it seems to be tricky and to take its time, but the result is something special and for sure, with so much love. Thanks for sharing and for the motivation you bring to me in all your videos, to make life more magical and full of fairies and flowers.
Oh wow, Monica, what a lovely comment. I'm so so glad this has helped you find a way to create the children's book you are working on. It has been a process of letting go of the 'old ways' of doing things for me. As a professional graphic designer working in publishing, all those years ago, I've always thought my art needed to be 'commercial' and 'publishable' for it to have worth, but now I see that one-of-a-kind and handmade things are like an act of rebellion against the tyranny of industry - and I LOVE it! Oh Nancy , my Spidey senses must have picked up the Magic , for as You posted this ...I heard "The Whisperings" of Your name in my mind wondering if You were having a lovely break and when You would Grace the Aether again .... just popped on and yes !!! You have posted ...many Solstice and New Year Blessings to You and Yours . There is a Huge Shift being felt , for sure!! Thanks ever so for sharing Your Magic with the World , Arohanui from across the Pond, X Grizabella Moonbeam ps the other day I had been laying down in the middle of Our driveway , at the road end , on the Grass with one of Our Cats , Precious Lily White Frilly Bloomers and we were watching the Bees on the tiny Wild Flowers , and grounding. Then I got up and a beautiful Dragonfly came up the drive, flew around me and back down to the house...so of course We followed. I avoided the Bees , and as I went past a large patch of Clover I heard "The Whisperings" about Four Leaf Clovers and wondered if there were any, as I kept going ... "The Whisperings " got slightly louder ,,,and so of coarse I could not ignore them again, as that would be rude ...and THERE WAS A FOUR LEAF CLOVER!! I actually laughed and looked again ...and YES THERE WAS ANOTHER ...skipped back down the driveway to show My Darling...and then popped them in a magical book with some tissue to press them, after removing the Sweet Little Black Violas that were in the book...watching Your videos gave me the idea and I am so glad I had a go and they are so Divine , a deep Black with Golden faces !! Thanks again!

Love this video, I have just about all the supplies shown, including really pretty fabrics. I'm sure I can do a similar journal (not as pretty illustrations). Thank you for posting them. I live in the US, our winters are usually very cold with lots of snow, not this year. Still, I have a lot of free time since I can't do much in my garden.

You are so right about how making pushes out the negative. I was having quite a tussle with anxiety the other day, but when I started working on a set of vision cards for the new year, the images, glue, ink, and bone folder gently sent it away. Happy New Year to you and Mr. Rose! ❤
Definitely. It's always hard to push the anxiety away at first and just sit yourself down to make a start, but once you do, it all feels better ❤ xx

The magical coming together of two talented soulmates. Your collective creativity is a joy to watch, and inspiring. Thank you. 🙏 I have often thought to ask if you have, or have considered, making an illustrated reference guide of the ‘good’ guys (bugs) in our backyards? It would be a wonderful addition in your book-binding journey. I have found it very difficult to source this kind of information online, as most reference the bad guys generically. How often haven’t we all accidentally squished the wrong bug in ignorance? It’s so easily done, which is why an illustrated chart or journal will go a long way to protecting and preserving these hard little workers. From a selling point, there is a market for reference gardening guides, such as this. A beautifully illustrated one would be something to treasure. 🤗🐝🐛🪲🐜🐞
