June Carter receives a special achievement for Johnny Cash

- At April 7th, 2003, June Carter Cash received for Johnny Cash a career achievement award at the CMT Flameworthy. John was sick and June was awarded the prize for him. June died 38 days after, at May 15th. This is one of the last public appearence of June.
She died less than one month after receiving this award for Johnny. RIP to both.
June Carter Cash...what a lady. She's the sweetest angel. You can imagine how she helped Mr. Cash fight all his damaging addictions: when you're around someone like that, you can only heal.
Johnny was a lucky man, and we're lucky to have had them, and be influenced by them.
Rest in peace, we love you both.
GammaCaeles are you and everyone else in the comment section of every cash video delusional, or do you just get all of your research from Walk The Line? Because if you read Vivian's book, you would know that June was the pursuer, not Johnny, and that she also did drugs and played a part in his addiction. She's not what you saw in Walk The Line. Okay they were young then and nobody is perfect and they're still great musicians, but I'm tired of everyone acting like June was an angel when she didn't respect John's first marriage and did drugs.
not sticking up for anybody or calling anybody a liar here...but how can you be sure of Vivian has been 100 percent accurate in her story......it very well could have been like that.....or total BS....just because someone writes a book dont make it true......and Im not surprised that June was on drugs in those days....almost every entertainer was.....AND Vivian's book is the only one that tells that story.....everybody I have heard of that knew them personally has always said that June saved his life.......
I am friends with Kathy Cash his daughter on Facebook and she said that her mother's book was 100% completely accurate.
I wasnt disputing anybody's word.......but people think they know the entire life history of an entertainer through their works or by books someone has written...as a veteran disc jockey for 20 years you would be surprised what some so called fans believe or dont believe

They died before I was born but I would have done ANYTHING to see them in concert and hug them...

Such a lovely lady June Carter Cash was. She was the only person that truly made Johnny smile.God bless both of you and thank you for your wonderful music. I never had the chance to meet Johnny Cash as I was very young when he passed but he has given me strength and courage to face the world and never to give up. When I grow old and I leave this earth I will have left behind to my kids the Johnny Cash legacy and keep his music alive. God bless America.

Johnny Cash and June Carter...what a beautiful marriage...strong couple . They helped each other. I love Johnny Cash...his haunting melodies, his strong faith in Jesus and his lovely compassion for those that struggle in life. He is so real. Lovely example for other singers. God bless you both.

Another tear jerker. She was gone only a few months later. She did not look like a 73 year old lady & it took me by total shock when I heard it happened. Life is so friggin cruel especially in the end. The love they had for each other was so awesome. Everyone looking for love should accept nothing less.

I'd read about this appearance and indeed, she's having some problems with her train of thought....despite the fact that she made it look as if it was intended ( and pretty much got away with it) you can tell there was indeed something wrong. Poor baby...when she went you knew it wouldn't be long before John followed and that's exactly what happened. Bless you both...the world's a brighter place for having you in it.
