Indigenous Governance Model Pathway

In December 2022, a decision was made to shift the leadership model at Native Child and Family Services of Toronto from a top-down ED model to a shared governance model. This is much more in line with Indigenous world views and ways of being.
A lot of research was completed to ensure our practices were in alignment with the traditions and ways of being on this Territory.
We're very excited to share with you how this model will be implemented at our organization, how it will inform the way we are making decisions, and to ensure they are aligned with our Indigenous values and ways of being.
