Bro, cosmetic mods are MODS. You don't have to finger quotation it, they're mods. I like the look of this. The whole point of modding a civic isn't to go fast, it's to look good and have reliability/gas mileage all at the same time. Not even the Si or Type R are "fast" cars for the price you pay, so if you want fast I wouldn't be looking at honda in general. But you can make these things look damn good, for cheap, and have the other perks mentioned.
I liked your cosmetic mods. You did a good job, boss. Don't listen to anyone else' opinion when modding, do what you want because you like it.
i'm all for taking a base trim model and making it look nice...nicely dressed with wheels and clean paint and everything.
We were all ricer once, don't worry about not knowing everything 😂

Do a 0-60 just for the hell of it even though it's a slow car. It can't be slower than my Crown Vic.
There are many bolt-ons available that can make this car faster without wasting so much $$$

i just got my lx ab a month ago and i’ve been dying to do cosmetic mods on it and i’m so happy i found your vid bc this is exactly what i planned to do to mine too especially w everything from ebay bc im cheap as hell and have no intentions to do performance mods, loveeee it 😁
I would debadge the rear Civic badge personally for a cleaner look, considering the base models don't have a right badge ('VTEC turbo" or "Si" whatever model it is). I have a 10th gen EX-T Civic sedan (mid range) with plans for modifications, done nothing yet but this has given me some inspiration.

one life lesson is always lower your car before you get new wheels it’ll make your car look 10xs better even without new wheels. also helps hug those corners better ;)

Just got a 2018 Civic and I'm currently modding it. Never heard of the term "ricer". But now that I have......I don't care. Continuing to mod.
There is always a hotter car than yours. I have 19 Civic Hatch Sport. I have added over 20 items on the inside and 7 on the outside. For a while I thought maybe I should have gotten an SI. Can't afford it but a Type R would really be great. The moral of the story is Love what you have, rather than looking to what is cooler, because there will always be a cooler car unless you have millions.
Damn, I didn't think anyone else had modded the 19 lx. I blacked the logos, blacked the hub caps and wrapped the honda logo in the hub caps red. I also moved the license plate the same spot with zip ties. I also blacked the silver bars on the front which made a huge difference. I haven't done it since I have a lease but I recommend to replace those orange reflectors on the front with black ones and they cost around $50.
I actually had black ones but I accidentally broke them so I had to throw the stock ones back on 😂

Nice looking car I have a 2020. You will mature past the whole " I need a fast car" faze. Yeah it's fun and I've owned plenty. But pushing a slow car to its limits and just being able to be economical and cruise around town in a good looking car is much more important

My civic hatchback looks basic but it has a PRL CAI race MAF and a Ktuner. Your car looks nice (fast) but I would of work from the inside out. To each their own. Nice ride though!

I agree! I own a 17 civic hatch sport. I’ve had it for about six months now. My mod list includes: Mishimoto intake, greddy exhaust & ktuner v2. Would recommend all the above for instant power!!
