Just a quick note - I didn't explain the front weapon enough in the footage I kept! SO much footage to cut down from this time! The front weapon is a belt fed 100mm railgun with pure flak shells, no gunpower and relying completely on the battery for propulsion - Lots of shells all fired in a shotgun burst with timed fuses! Anti air at Its most fun! :D

That sounds like an absolute pain to build

Speaking with some experience from Space Engineers, yeah walkers are really difficult to build if you want them to actually rely on their walking. Getting the legs right isn't too difficult, but getting the walk cycle right, oooh boy. Besides, FtD tends to be a bit "floaty" (to be fair, that is just because gravity actually does behave like that at this scale, we are just not used to it) and it's a real problem when you're supposed to rely on your weight for friction and propulsion.
The twin-guard style is actually IMO the best way to get mech-looking builds that are still functionnal in these kind of games. Alternatively, you can also do something that relies on something else for movement but has mostly cosmetic legs
Imagine a game where you can fight mechas with realistic damage...
I still vote for Tachikoma, given Lthrix's normal insectoid predilections. Alternatively, if he gets his hands on an obscene amount of resources, he could go for the Spirit of Motherwil.

Between a tank and a ski craft, my vote definitely goes to a ski, it's just such a unique and awesome concept compared to an advanced cannon tank. So far, my favourite iteration was the triple-ski one, it made me imagine it's ultimate form - perhaps, a V-shaped craft with two propeller nacelles and some short-range front-facing weapons like shotgun particle cannons and a central section with the main and AA weapons, utilising speed, maneuverability and AA/munition defense advanced cannons for defense?

The amount of sand displayed in the 2 minutes I’ve seen so far is about a 40x40 area and that makes me think of strawberries.

I find it hilarious at 15:30 ish that you were like “That’s not meant to fly that much… right?” Wisp is definitely supposed to just be a hover craft… not flying in the air like an airplane!

With the sand dunes and land battles I'm hoping at some point someone tries to make something inspired by Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, it's fun to imagine massive sand crawlers and hovercraft duking it out over the wastes. :)
i just love how lath goes forward and backwards in his build XD Lath: makes a quite functional ski (20 seconds in the video later) Lath: cuts to a completely gutted mess with only the main body and a cannon and no movement XD

Cosmetic recommendation you might like,
For glass if you use two layers, whether by actual blocks or mimics in whatever combination you so like, if you make the outside your prefered color, but the inside clear, then you can see out the glass while still keeping that outward color scheme

Maybe some Sherman Medium Tanks from British and Commonwealth Inventories from World War Two Like the M4A2 and M4A4 Models as well as the Firefly Vc which is an M4A4 Sherman with the British 17 Pounder Gun, backed up by some Matilda II Infantry Tanks, M10 3" Wolverine Gun Motor Carriage Tank Destroyers, and M7 Priest 105 millimeter Howitzer Motor Carriage for Artillery and either Humber Mk. IV Armoured Cars or Greyhound Armored Cars for Reconnaissance and M5 Half-Tracks to Carry the Materials. Maybe something like this....

Your Command Vehicle can be Either an M3 Scout Car, A Universal Carrier Mk. II (aka a Bren Gun Carrier), or a Jeep Willy's MB. You might even want to go for the Dodge WC-51 ¾-ton Truck since the WC-57 Model actually was designed as a Command Car.
All the Specifics for all of these Vehicles can be found on Wikipedia if you need it, because God give me strength since the Page to this video reloaded on me whilst typing them out for you about 20 minutes or so ago. Here are some Formulas that'll help you get to better know what your Looking at.
Barrel Length: to find the Length of a Barrel for a particular gun, you'll need to multiply the Gun's Caliber by however many Calibers it is. Take the American 3"/50 Caliber gun for example, 3 × 50 = 150 inches or 3.846 meters. It's 3 inches in Caliber and 50 Times that for the Barrel Length. If you see an "L/" for the Barrel Length don't worry, that's just how most everyone else in the World marks it down.
Miles, Feet and Meters: so if you're dealing with Velocity or Range or Altitude, we know games like Minecraft, Stormworks: Build and Rescue and even From the Depths all use the Metric Measurements. 1 Mile is 5,280 Feet, 1 Foot is 12 inches, 1 Meter is 39 inches. When using Wikipedia, always double check the Metric Measurements as Wikipedia basically Epitomizes the Term "Open Source" for anything. You might find the Correct Muzzle Velocity for the Metric system but the Imperial (Feet and Inches) System might be Higher than what it should be.
• Range being Measured in Miles: Range × 5,280 feet = Range(Feet), Range(Feet) × 12 = Range(Inches), Range(Inches) ÷ 39 = Range(Meters), Range(Meters) ÷ 1000 = Range(Kilometers).
• Muzzle Velocity: m/s × 39 = inches/Second, Inches/Second ÷ 12 = Ft/s.
• Speed Measured in Mph: Mph × 5,280 = Feet per Hour, Feet per Hour × 12 = inches per Hour, Inches per Hour ÷ 39 = Meters per Hour, Meters per Hour ÷ 3,600 = M/s (or m/s). 3,600 Seconds in an Hour for Reference.
• Dimensional Measurements (Length, Width and Height): Feet × 12 = inches, Inches ÷ 39 = Meters. Remember to add any Remaining Inches before converting to Meters.

Prop armor theory, put a shell around them with open ends on each side so airflow is unmitigated but big enough to have over 90 clearance. Alternatively you can make the armor apart of the sled bit of the vehicle which would make it sorta more hovercrafty looking (traditional real life hovercraft not like flying or anything)
13:59 i mean thats literally why he-vt shells were invented. cuz timed fuses had to be manually adjusted for altitude before hand and other stuff required a direct hit. vt shells basically said "I don't need to hit you I just need to be in your general vicinity"
Find more of the Black Widow type enemies where they have a separate torso, capture as many torsos as you can & stack them on top of one another like a totem pole.
Carry them around as grisley trophies of your victories, but also have it so they can fire at enemies.
Seeing you play the land adventure mode reminds me of Ashes of the Empire. I miss that series since you never did a full playthrough of it. Keep up the great work. Love your videos!

This makes me feel nostalgia for the good-ol'-days when the Bloodletter was first devised as the most efficient front-line land vehicle. It makes me wonder... how many of those older designs are still viable? How easy would it be to revise them to make them relevant again? How far could you go with just a Bloodletter? Those things were _exceptionally_ punchy for how cheap they were.
When you eventually return to Neter, I'd like it if you did a no boat run.
Land vehicles are fine.
Submersibles are fine.
Aircraft are fine and encouraged.
Space craft is fine.
But boats are unacceptable.
Also, a maximum payload Railgun would be awesome from you.
