I just looked it up, the exact line is "Later, Dozla wept like a baby when L'Arachel was wed." This def is talking about him in the crowd watching the ceremony, rather than him being the one at the altar. (Also, the age gap would make that really weird if he was)
Someone already said that Dozla's ending with L'Arachel is very much a "he went to L'Arachel's wedding and fuckin cried the entire time" and how in the Japanese version, Dozla talks about L'Arachel like he's his daughter in Garcia's supports (and it's a big point that he raised her up since her parents couldn't take care of her). Oh yeah, L'Arachel's A support with Eirika definitely feels like a marriage proposal to me, gives a girl a precious gem and asks to live with her! As for future videos, how about Florina? Her relationship with Lyn seems very close to romantic, at least on Florina's part, there's the bit at the end of Lyn's story where she flat out tells Lyn that she loves her, and in their A support Lyn confesses to Florina that she wants to return to Sacae and invites Florina to go with her, which she readily agrees to Their ending is a bit of cold water though since it states that later, Florina returned to Ilia, I try not to think that was because Florina confessed to Lyn and she didn't return her feelings, but, it does say they went to Sacae together. This definitely reads like the kind of support and relationship that, if it were written in a post Fates world, probably would've been allowed to be explicitly romantic.
I think L’Arachel is one of those many characters where bisexual/pansexual, if you want to give her a label, is pretty much the best answer you can give because she’s clearly attracted to men, but also shows glimpses of gayness in her supports. Also I’d love to see you investigayte Sylvain, for a bit of man representation, even tho I know you would prefer to stick with sapphic content.
In her paired ending with dozla she isnt marrying him, she is marrying another generic guy or gal ofscreen, also in dozla's support with garcia in the original japanese version remooved from the internationals because alcohol references dozla says to garcia that he views l'arachel as his own daughter, their whole support conversation is even about parenting. It is frankly and thankfuly that dozla's tears in l'arachel's paired ending are the tears of a parent seeing their offspring be grown enough to marry, live a life of her own and have children. Dozla isnt l'arachel's real father, but from what we know, l'arachel parents died when l'arachel was realy young and pontifex mansel could not raise his niece cause reasons so he left her in the hands of a trusted friend, dozla. The reason l'arachel does her don quijote stiles adventures is that growing up she heard the storied of her parents epic adventures so she wanted to live to their memories. Dozla is just a dad who cant say no to his daughter and their paired ending is totaly (and thankfuly cause there is already enough incest jokes in fe8) platonic.

Well, this was a fascinating thought exercise. L'Arachel really is the sort of lady that would move mountains if it means she furthers her goals, and move them back if it also made her friends happy. With very few exceptions, she's a ray of positivity at just about every given opportunity, and though she clearly has no issues sassing the likes of Rennac out for easy money, or outgambling a cheater like Joshua, she never ever EVER goes out of her way to be a nuisance to anyone else. It might be hard to figure her out and where she might stand on a spectrum, but it's very easy to tell she's just pleasant company to have, and that's something anyone can look forward to in a partner, romantic or otherwise, so at least that part should count for something... Now if I had to guess WHY Eirika would be hesitant, well she IS trying to come to terms with the fact that her Bisexual disaster demon-possed dear friend Lyon is kinda genociding people, so she's probably gonna need some time to ease her heart from all of that baggage.

I don't think L'Arachel is gay. Her comment on how pretty Eirika is is just that. After all, Eirika is pretty and L'Arachel can be rather careless in her speech. Her giving Eirika the gem is also just a sign of friendship. Remember, L'Arachel is a person who has no friends prior to joining the group. She didn't have to give anything and Eirika would've been happy to be friends. But since L'Arachel has next to no common social skills, she does this. I don't think L'Arachel is gay. Her comment on how pretty Eirika is is just that. After all, Eirika is pretty and L'Arachel can be rather careless in her speech. Her giving Eirika the gem is also just a sign of friendship. Remember, L'Arachel is a person who has no friends prior to joining the group. She didn't have to give anything and Eirika would've been happy to be friends. But since L'Arachel has next to no common social skills, she does this. Now if y'all wanna ship her and Eirika, by all means go on and let your imagination run wild. After all, that's part of the fun. LOL
