  • Gregory Flynt Taylor was wrongly convicted of murder in 1993 thanks to a rush to judgment by police, evidence that was withheld from the jury and misleading testimony by key witnesses. WRAL is telling his story in "6,149 Days," a powerful 90-minute documentary that aired April 12, 2012. What went wrong in his conviction. Who actually committed the crime? How do those wrongfully convicted move on from such injustice?
This is a High Definition (1920x1080) version of the original documentary.

17 years and it wasn't that hard to prove him innocent. He should sue the hell out of them.

I can't imagine what Greg and his family and loved ones have been through! There is just no way to make up for an error of this magnitude! You can't give someone back 17 years of their life. I am relieved he is finally free, but devastated for him for all the time lost. May all of his wishes from this day forward come true!

The truth shall set you free! The state should monetarily reimburse him for the years he spent in prison as an innocent man! Those are years and memories that he will never get back. Thank God the truth came out and I wish this man nothing but the best of luck! God bless you

Idk guys like Tom Ford. Does he not realize his credibility is gone? You could make it go away by admitting wrong. When you fail to right your wrong it looks like you maliciously and knowingly framed a guy.

My heart goes out to all the folks who we’re really affected by this case. I’m happy that justice prevailed and an innocent man is free. I pray for the victims family as well as the two men who were accused of an horrific crime that they had nothing to do with. I guess I shouldn’t call it a justice system because so many injustices have come from this fake and flawed system. If this is the greatest judicial system then I would hate to see number 2. As for the guy who says he hasn’t lost any sleep because he still thinks mr Taylor any Johnnie are guilty. You have not lost sleep because you are evil with no heart. These two men were clearly innocent from day 1. You actually hurt the victims family more by trying to frame these guys.

There is a chance that other guy that was with Greg actually killed that woman and then saw Greg parked and jumped in with him to create an alibi. He just seems like he's holding back and knows more than he appears to know. He doesn't seem to have any sympathy for Greg and carries himself like someone who got away with murder. He may have even suggested the cul-de-sac they drove down so that Greg would see the body too and that would give him a solid alibi. I definitely don't see Greg just randomly killing a prostitute for no reason. He had a beautiful wife at home and would have no motive.
It also occured to me that maybe they both killed her and then was one another's alibis.

@@BILLYRFC99 that wouldn't make sense. The manner in which she was killed there had to have been blood everywhere. I don't believe Greg was involved. However, he could have been involved or both involved. The real problem is there is absolutely no evidence other than his truck being stuck out there. Whether they did it or not, I don't believe there was enough evidence to convict either one.
