You have to keep in mind that the Eifel Region is for sure one of the worst real estate Regions of Germany due to high unemployment rate, people leaving the area, low birth rate. Very less companies to work for...
Keeping this in mind the prices are far to high under these interest rate conditions.
They are, I'm actually looking at buying a second home in the Eifel region, prices are all over the place. Some are far, others are waaaaaaaay to pricey for what you're getting.
But still. For 365k in a huge house or for the same in an old, worn 2-bed room in Netherlands. Now we work more from home it's worth considering.
Probably, but if you took a look at the Real estate in Portugal 😂🤣
Our economy is dead for decades and still they ask like 200k€ for any decaying "barn".
@@stratomixsound4680 go poland for 200k u can build a villa haha
think you missed davids point, this is for educated "REMOTE" work they dont go live there for the companies around there, They work remote. Im jealous
That's a good idea to sometimes leave the 'usual content' and by the way in the field of housing or real estate could next time contribute xthilox and last but not least Robert.
Indeed!
Not really.
>Schuster, bleib bei deinen Leisten.
In my poorish area in Spain that house would be +400k. It's ridiculous.
I'm surprised at how affordable these properties are... around my way, add 45% to the prices for the same scale/volume of home
Then compare these prices to Canada...in many major cities a 20-25 year old, 200m3 home is 550,000 EUR-equivalent and up!
@@NoahBB Come to Switzerland...
@@NoahBB Canada is huge and there is for sure places in Canada that has houses for these prices too... I know someone who bought an 100m2 appartment in Gothenburg for €1.2m so there are for sure both ways
@@zer001 Switzerland vs Toronto & Vancouver. The ultimate battle of money launderers and overpriced real estate.
@@NoahBB here in North Germany a house which was build (I know) for way under 200.000 was sold for 480.000€ . Ist has around 130-140m3. Property around 500m3. It is no city here.
This is actually a great topic to cover. Always wondered the housing situation there considering how many people visit.
Living mortgage free near the ring.
Living the dream 👍🏼
Jens does a great job of explaining how real estate markets work in general - this is actually something I’d recommend watching if you’ve never bought a house before
Thank you very much
lol no offense at all to Jens, I think that was a good presentation and a good smattering of the prices in the area, but since my mum was a broker I can only laugh at someone having an epiphany at the whole "location location location" thing. lol sorry. I wish you the best of luck and I hope Misha finds a fitting place.
3:37 getting the house tomorrow because of that pizza oven
Better hurry up 😁
Wow! That garden is THE selling point for me, in that first farm house! As love a huge garden with stairs to it,as it feels like a hidden gem,as from above, you couldn't tell there was a garden... Absolutely love it!
be quick... i told you at the end of the video =)
Scrolled through dozens of comments, i guess you nailed it with this out of the box content.
Very useful information about sizes of properties, number of rooms, age, location and what you can expect, and good prizes that i didn´t expect.
Very interesting video, i did't expect that prices 😯
We are about 140kms from the ring in Erkelenz. And some months ago a house was sold here for tripple the price of the last house in the video with only having half the size and definately not that view we have seen in the video 😅
man, i really liked this video, different but really usefull info
don't be afraid to do something like this on the future
cheers
Well done Misha, enjoyed this alot it was an eye-opener
Great camera work! I think that aspect let's your channel do things like this more seamlessly
I was seriously lookin for a while back, thx for bringing this up!!!
Super cool and useful content!! Thank you, Misha!
And Jens is such a nice person!
vielen Dank!! =)
the Nurburg area is very rural so thats why the prices are less than what ppl are expecting. im sure areas near the major German cities have very high housing costs
Yeah I live in rural Germany and this matches up with the prices around here.
Yep
You look for this kind of house in a city with a population over 500k for a price around 800k+
Great idea Misha,...love that you are doing that !!!!
Dude, its amazing not just to see the track on your channel but also the area and people around it. Great video!!
great video, wasn't expecting to see this type of content!
Really useful video, thank you Misha & Jens!
Great video! Thanks for making it. Interesting to know housing prices in different areas. When you said a 300 year house, I was thinking to myself 300 years ago there was nothing but grass fields where I now live.
This was the video I was waiting for! Thank you Misha! 🙂
Great content Misha ! Really interesting !
Great video with your friends Misha! Thanx!
Really good information, thanks Misha )
Good use of the drone(s). Loved the very valuable content. Never thought about moving to that region, but somehow it also makes sense.
Better journalism than some main stream media. Keep it up, I’d def tune in for more!
Well it was a nice with some info about prices etc. thanks for a great video
This is what I was waiting for! We are also looking for a holiday home in the Eifel, we live in Belgium (three hours from the ring) and are monthly in the region (Nürburgring, shopping, hiking, ...). good to see what you can get for your budget.
Imagine a collab between Misha and Enes Yilmazer! Enes shows us a cool home around the Ring, and then goes for a lap with Misha 😁
Great video Misha, thanks fo rthe info
This is really interesting and good content. Great idea to venture out of the standard form for a bit, I wouldn't mind if you want to do it more with other ideas for videos around your neighborhood. The prices are mouthwateringly low compared to where I live in the Stockholm area in Sweden 🇸🇪.
Yeah but this area is like the very north of Sweden. There is absolutely nothing besides nature and a race track.
Thank you for sharing this information for people like myself living outside Germany and Europe. I visited the Eifle area earlier this year and was amazed by it, then considered what it’s like to live or be a home owner.
Really appreciate you and your content Misha.
Awesome video, I was raised in Germany in the late 60's, 70's and early 80's, love old German houses built to last
Thank you Misha. Been very interested in this ever since you mentioned property prices in a vlog quite a long time ago. It got me thinking about how successful AirBnB can be there
This was fun, thank you!
75k for a spot 10 min from the ring?! For that price I wouldn’t even complain about straight pipe Hondas driving by in the middle of the night!
Great video Misha ! I am looking to buy a house around the Nurburgring next year so this video was very informative !
Very interesting topic, I liked it👍🏼
I enjoy all the content no matter what it is! Great video! 🇺🇸
Thank you, I had in the past spent time looking into this.
This was just the video I was looking for for so long, with just the person who i wanted to make it. thank you
Very good vid its nice to have these type of info.
Great topic, nicely done too. And like the editing here, it works (contrary to the slomo shots etc in car videos in my opinion, I tend to skip those cinematic attempts in your videos)
Nice content Mischa, refreshing!
This was just the video I hoped to see for years. Finally! Now we all have a contact in the Eifel housing business. Thank you!
great content! thank you!
Great video guys, cheers.
I unfortunately couldn't visit the ring this time but seeing names like Koblenz, Aachen and Cochem makes me happy because that's where I stayed this Euro trip. :D
“Less than 25 minutes to the Ring”… Me: “I can do it in 15!”
This was a fun video, and kinda neat for those of us who don't really get to travel or are kinda trapped where we are to live vicariously through your videos.
David's house was pretty damn cool, I like the garage and the room above it. Living in the country all my life, I've always liked those little places in the city with small garages squeezed in where they can.
Thank you, we love the place its such a great area to live 😃
I'd be quite tempted if the car laws were not so utterly insane there. Every last one of my cars would be illegal. Buying new ones would be a bit more expensive as well. Good video!
What are the laws that are crazy? I am completely uninformed.
Those laws have found there way to the US as well. When you have folks like Charles Schwab buying up politicians to push his narrative it become a threat to every facet of life. “You will own nothing, and like it”.
@@krismartin1181 I guess Nobody Noone is talking about the very strict laws concerning modifications of your car: most mods are illegal or it's quite expensive to get them approved, generally speaking.
@@prosaschleuder compared to where? The USA - most definately. Then again the overal level of maintenance on vehicles over here is higher as well due to the mandatory checks.
You can't have one without the other.
You can't have the Autobahn with sections of unlimited speed and at the same time a liberal regulation allowing crazy project cars and/or no or only minor safety checks.
That would be the perfect recipe for disaster.
And looking at the statistics you can see that in the US this lack of regulation isn't working in first place. The US have strict speed limits but higher numbers of traffic related deaths (relative to population size) than Germany.
Obviously our strict safety checks, rigorous training to get the driving license and strict regulation on modifications has a greater impact on road safety than the speed limits.
How do I know I'd like to live there?
The 3 of you were having a nice talk in the middle of the road on that village. That says it all.
Very interesting, Misha. Cheers.
As an American this was very interesting please do more of these vids maybe walk us through the home buying process when your ready to buy
prices still went skyrocket over the last 10 years. they more than doubled. just insane.
the reason why houses are relatively cheap compared to other places in germany is because there is no big city or many jobs near the ring. cologne is away around an hour.
thanks for this info. useful
Very interesting video and nice to see a totally different content!
Maybe it’s just me but I thought that at every house you would tell / show if there is a garage for your daily driver / ringtool… 😏😁
Being a fully remote worker a house purchase here would be very tempting. To buy any house where I live would be a minimum of 250k and the cheapest house in this video is much nicer than those would be 🤔
@TheFR Could get a pretty decent car for the track with the price difference!
German government will take roughly 50+% of your salery though, include this in your calculation when coming here, the taxes are crazy
@@gmt7550 Yea I'm in Ireland and sadly it's more or less the same!
@@gmt7550 50+% of your salary? you're above 275k yearly income? even that has only 45% though.
@@dragonsmonk Yes I do but that’s not the point… 😂 you realize that there is more to taxes than only income tax? If you consider sales tax (which is 19%) and other taxes like on fuel or alcohol even your average joe takes home less then 50% of his paycheck 😂
Great video Misha, as both a car enthusiast and a real estate agent I loved this. Cheers mate 🥂
Misha, I've thought this before, but todays video proves it. You have super video speaking skills.
Enjoyed the day’s video. Appreciate the interesting content.
If you’re thinking of buying a house Misha the best time is sooner than later. 👍👊🏻
What an interesting video. I was always curious about housing near the ring!!!! Greetings from Colombia
Getting own house under a 100k€, in Finland you need to go middle of nowhere to get that.
Thank you Misha. I appreciate the change of scenery. Now you make me think from visiting to the thought of perhaps permanently staying! 🤔🤔🤔 Thanks for the info and have a good one.
Good topic. I would hate the noise from having the road right next to my house but the car spotting would be amazing.
cool topic!
Great last tip, thanks Jens.
Great video misha, not to show only laps, we are interesting in things around the ring
Loved today's video. Used to watch Homes under the hammer on BBC. So interesting. House prices in the UK are mad right now. I bought my 1st house 12 years ago now. The last house shown would be perfect. 😂. Maybe a option for retirement. ✌😂
that trike that went by is awesome!!
Misha giving all the info about life near/at the
This was a lovely video
Good video
Love it, like property brothers meets nurburgring
Very cool video 👍🏻
I like this content and it would be nice to see more places.
More please.........love this vid. This is actually my retirement dream.
Love that you did this Misha. I'm always interested in your side project videos. This one especially as it would be a dream to have a second home near the Ring (outside of our home in Canada) now that I have had my first experience there and crave more. My wife and I often talk of living part of the year in Italy after many wonderful trips there... I wonder if I could convince her we should live near the Ring for part of the year instead. 😁
interesting video misha !
so basically for the price of a Gt2RS MR you can buy half a village there instead
Very true!
Great video. I‘ve been considering getting something very small, like our summer house (50qm) in Sweden. Less expensive than I thought.
This is cool Misha
Aaaaand the prices are rising. Very good Video. The prices are very interesting. Thnks for this Special!
First house is amazing. Like dream house for me wow.
that is one of my favorites too
great content ! thinking about moving to the eifel for a very long time. If only we had the courage..
go for it....!!
Great Video Misha! I've always wondered what that market was like....Who knows, maybe one we could be neighbors!!
Fun informative video. The prices are very reasonable. It is quite conceivable that people could buy a house as a vacation destination to enjoy the track and the countryside.
Holy hell dude; I’m here in the US (Arizona) and getting a place in such a picturesque location would be hundreds of thousands of dollars. Incredible.
As a German living here I just want to mention that the next highways are 30min away, cities like Bonn 40min, cologne or Koblenz 1h; few jobs! Houses imho old, low energetic and with horrible room Layouts… yeah many views are nice tho but U get so used to that
@@stxrfox1k first of all, 2€/Liter Diesel
36% taxes on your income and a well-known socialist/eco terrorist Gov we stupidly have elected to fuck us off
If you want to compare to the US, this is more like living in deep Appalachia. Unless you're associated with the ring or work on the internet, there's really not much you can do there.
Thank you so much for your content Misha ☺️ wish me past my German language and i can get my working visa to work as a mechanic at Nürburgring area 🥺
Interesting. Thanks.
Your channel is called Misha Charoudin, not a trip around the nurburgring or cars to see. I follow because you seem like a decent kid, and the vid you put up in 20 walking around the ring when the snow hit was stunning. This vid was informative and very interesting.
that's a great idea for a video!
Great job
Does he showcase or make a point about garage spaces in his adverts? That’s important for a lot of us. On my first trip to nurby a couple of weeks ago I noticed a lot of houses in the area have multiple garages or carports; many more in comparison to where I live. And when properties like this do pop up here, the garages are rarely ever mentioned in the listings…
Like the new content. Jens was a good guest. Hope to see him again.
Different and great stuff to understand
House like that would cost the same in Croatia with 1/3rd of the average net income.
EDIT:
BRUH 130 000€ you can't get sh*t in Croatia anywhere near the urban area!?
Good info! Are there any properties on, with a view or within earshot of the Ring?
Very interesting video. 👍
