You would never see this in real life, as the IND/BMT type trains like the R42 are too wide for the IRT lines and would rip up the platforms.The current trains that run on the shuttle are the R62's, prior to that the IRT Redbirds like the R33/36. The R42 would be more at home on the Franklin Ave Shuttle.
