I think with all the modern CGI and VFX that we have now.. Harry Potter remake would make a blast.

I will never understand why no one talks about the fact that Harry Potter's story is so similar to Krishna's story and there are so many similarities with Mahabharat's other characters. My niece is growing up in USA and in her school there was India week and she shared a book with the story of Krishna with them...all of them immediately screamed that it's Harry Potter's story!

A lot of similarities actually.
1) The Krishna story goes like this - there was a prophecy that the son born to a particular couple will kill an evil king. So Krishna's father transferred the him upon his birth to another place where he grew while the evil king kept trying to kill Krishna. Ultimately Krishna killed the evil king.
2) a character called Karan who was deprived of honorable place and hand of the princess he desired because of his pedigree, turned towards evil side of an epic war. Snape has uncanny similarity with Karan
3) an unbeatable warrior had entrusted only his most trusted disciple to kill him by disclosing the secret on how to kill him. Similar to what Dumbledore asked Snape.
4) in almost all Indian fairy tales there used to be a demon who would keep his heart inside an external bird. Unless the bird was killed, the demon couldn't be killed. The concept of horcrux.
5) only the chosen hero had the power to weild a "brahmastra" which was the ultimate weapon against any enemy. The idea of Eldar wand.
6) in Ramayana, when a prince was hurt badly (body immobile and blue) then a particular plant was used to revive him. Similar to mandrake root used to revive immobile Petrified patients
