The AlmightyArjen CZcams channel is about Lego train related videos. I sometimes automate Lego trains, or make a stop motion video or I just setup a huge Lego train layout in the living room. Do you have (reasonable) video suggestions? Please let me know!

I would recommend packing each LEGO model / set in its own plastic bag and tie the bag. That way if pieces do fall off under transport, you know which piece belong to which model

I remember moving my LEGO collection a few years ago, I swear LEGO trains are the hardest things to transport. Just remember the sound of carriages and wagons rolling back and forth in the car… it was quite the mess 😂

I remember when I had to move my Lego collection back in 2021 when we had a makeover. I see that we have the similar view as trains are also most precious for me and they ended up in plastic IKEA bins. However stations, level crossing, cargo depots all of the trucks planes etc. ended up in cardboard boxes. They were all moved between rooms as the makeover crew was doing 2 rooms at the time. After it was all done and I opened up the bins and boxes, trains were intact, everything else was not.

Gamma boxes are the worst I’ve used. The only good about them is that they are cheap. And that is what you get: they are flimsy, the handles tear and the bottom falls out.
Do yourself a favor and buy some boxes from a moving company.

Good point. I use them for sets so they're not that heavy fortunately.

Mijn gouden tip zou zijn:
Banannendozen (+kartonnen bodem) met een PMD zak erin zodat onderdelen er niet uit kunnen (dat probleem heb je met alle kartonnen dozen).
Die dozen kun je gratis halen bij grotere supermarkten en zijn mega sterk. Enige nadeel is dat er net geen 2 baseplates in passen, dus ik heb er een paar verlengd zodat 66-68 studs er goed in passen (4 rails).
Voor je overslag terminals: zaag MDF op maat voor eronder en seal alles met folie.

I never got the Air Tech Claw Rig, but I did get the 8880 Super Car and an incomplete Technic Space Shuttle. I've been meaning to complete the shuttle for like 7 years now, I guess I better get on that. I either need to de-yellow the white parts or simply replace them. For longevity's sake maybe I'll go with new parts where I can. Best of luck with everything, that's a lot to move!

Yeah and some special (electrical) parts of the shuttle are getting really expensive. I don't have the set yet and at this (price) point I think I'll skip it.

@@almightyarjen I'm lucky I bought up as much as I did from 2015-18 or so. Much of it from goodwill lots unloading old DACTA / Educational sets. I think I ended up with 4 or 5 working (for now) micromotors but I have no idea what their manufacture date is. The first wave of motors don't have magnets that will turn to dust 😅

Ja, ik gebruikte een compressor om het stof eraf te blazen. Door de druk waait het een stuk verder weg, dwarrelt niet zomaar terug.
