Chris, from my point of view, seeing how your channel has evolved over the years that I've been watching, you've almost made this channel a second job instead of your love for the hobby. I think when you started getting sponsors and stuff like that is when your channel really changed. I said this on Gem Mint's channel about his house and I said that I started to watch less of these statue channels because too many of them started feeling like I was watching these people doing a job instead of showing their hobby. It just wasn't fun to watch anymore and it made me start to like the hobby less. I hope you find your love again and get over this burnout. I had it for a while with my collection when I was getting too many statues at once. Today I got my first statue in almost a year and it felt good again. Like most here have said, just take a step back for a short while, it will do you some good.
This is just from my perspective focus on a smaller number but quality content say 3x shows a week, one unboxing, one solo Sunday chat and one group chat a week. Cut down on the “TikTok’s” to me they often feel spammy, save them for the little gems like the credit card debt one 😅 Cut down/stop on the doom n gloom stuff from your car, focus on the good stuff, anything serious could be covered as a segment in one of your chats. I am not a Batman specific collector but I enjoy your content greatly, keep it possative 😊
You, the channel and the community that you’ve built Chris is one of the main reasons I’ve been so passionate about the hobby over the years. Keep up the good work and always remember to take time out for yourself my friend
Something about the thumbnail doesn’t look right. You might indeed be feeling stress, but that screen shot was obviously posed for the camera. Just take a natural selfie without the exaggerated expressions.
You’re right! The struggle is real when trying to balance stress with that perfect thumbnail frown. I’ll work on my “I just spilled coffee on myself” look for next time!
As someone who is subscribed to a lot of statue collector channels and content creators you by far have the best community it’s always nothing but love and genuine conversations in the comments.
Definitely you and this community are special! It’s great to hear from your wife. I met her in person I know her feelings and a hobby lol. But she’s absolutely right what started out as cool collecting has turned into a great community. Life has its ups and downs definitely off feel that so proud of what you are too so many! God bless you and your family!
There’s a current wave of content creators with titles such as: I quit. No more. I’m retiring. I’m done. This is the last video. I have to stop drinking. Problems with family. And on and on. Then Gem Mint talks about his house. Then we have the Batman Statue Collector talk about being burnt out. Listen, we all have problems. I have tons of them, but I’m not going public with any of them, they are very private. I don’t need to tell any of these things to strangers. If you are really burnt out, and as you yourself have said, don’t care about views…then there’s absolutely no reason for you to come out with a video every day, heck, sometimes you do two videos plus a live podcast in a day. You are asking to be burnt out. I don’t want to be mean and say you are being over-dramatic, I’m sure you feel pressure amongst other things, but you need to chill on these assembly line videos. Just do one a week, man, that’s all. You will have more energy and excitement with less, and the production value would be much better. Heck, some only do one video a month. Nothing wrong with that, especially since you yourself say views don’t matter that much. Quality of content matters more. Concentrate on that. Don’t become another Flankster 117. That dude has said the only reason he makes videos is to be monetized and make money for his statues. That’s why he churns out videos every day like a bottling coke assembly line. And when he doesn’t narcissistically showcases a statue, he peddles lame cheap Chinese-made office chairs, water bottle coolers, and even dog bowls. Then talks about statues using his phone over his computer screen without a tripod. Don’t become Flankster, man. I did give you some flack, but that’s because I like your channel. You are a very good presenter. I love your gallery. Stop the frequent content. Less is more. You will be in a much better situation. Positivity, not negativity. Less stress, more fun. After all, this is suppose to be a hobby, not a job. Peace.
Flankster also started re-reviewing past unboxing statues he’s done through the years. WTF? That’s the lamest of the lame, lol. Your post is spot on, man. Chris should ease up on content. Like you said, less is more.
And get off Instagram and even more lame arse TikTok. Chris is self-adding to his own stress. Get rid of all other social media accounts and just do CZcams videos once in a while. But, they are money makers…it’s like an addiction.
I have been watching your channel since Day 1. I'm more of a Marvel fan, but for my DC Collection, I would listen to your channel on occasion. After listening to Gem Mint yesterday, where, if you take him at his word, he has some serious challenges ahead of him. However, this video felt overly dramatic. You have a good following...you seem to be doing this at your pace and can decide to do less or just shut it down. This is a hobby....that's it...I don't want to be included in the "folks" who you feel that you just have to do this for...you don't. I was collecting well before you started your channel and will try to continue to enjoy this hobby for as long as I can....the channel is nice, but it's not a requirement....take a break if necessary, but it's hard to imagine that anyone wants you to burn yourself out...that's just unnecessary drama...take whatever break you need...it's not that dramatic....it's a hobby.
Just take a step back, Chris and reassess... You don't have to put out a video every day and those of us that follow the channel will be here whenever you do. We want you to be healthy and stay passionate about the hobby and sometimes that might require taking a break...
I’ve dealt with burnout with my business and over the course of years it just got worse. It can buildup to a point where all you want to do is walk away. It’s gotten better but I had to cut back and force myself to mentally and physically step away and take rest
Hey Chris, Awesome letter, I know your pain of Unmotivated; I needed to unbox a statue, for some reason I just didn't feel like it, anyway two days before the 30 days deadline, I unboxed it and thankfully it was just fine .😎❤
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's great to hear you finally unboxed the statue before the deadline. We all have those moments of feeling unmotivated, but it sounds like you pulled through!
Love your channel dude! I honestly started collecting statues because of your awesome collection. Sometimes I dread of setting up and finding motivation to film a CZcams video also… but it must be done for the sake of the Virgins!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know my collection has inspired you. Keep collecting and filming; your passion will shine through!
you are my favorite CZcamsr, you bring passion and love for Batman, if there is a day you dont feel like it. Dont and do something else what you love, we can wait a few days
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know that my passion for Batman resonates with you. I appreciate your support and understanding!
I feel like DC passion in general is suffering because it's been such a long time since Warner has made anything amazing. I've been a Batman fanatic all my life and my heart just isn't as excited as it was 10 years ago when the Arkham games and the dark knight came out. I'll always love Batman but I'm definitely in a low excitement point.
Everything in life is about balance and moderation, so you just have to do your best to apply this to your statue hobby so it doesn't become work or a chore. I have to say ever since I completed my collection, it's been much more relaxed and enjoyable.
Hey just wanted to let you know that the majority of my collection is 1/6th but I still watch this channel and enjoy it. I have three small statues and that’s about it, no comic books or art. This is my escape from work burnout. You should take whatever time you need, for your health and for your family. We will still be here.
Keep inspiring 💪🏼 Doesn't matter if it's 5x or 1x a week. It's an awesome channel and community that you've built. Very awesome of Cody to do that.. incredible!
BE WELL CHRIS. - I love the BSC. much like Cody and others you were my first collector channel and source of inspiration, I am sitting here in my co-op looking HQ HELL on WHEELS - my first statue ( entry drug ??:)) in the collector arena - bought 100% on your review. Chris if/when you decide you need break, I think a lot of us would rather see you once a month than not at all. THANK YOU CHRIS.
I truly appreciate your support and kind words! It means a lot to me that I could inspire you in your collecting journey. Enjoy every moment with your new statue!
You said you have 9 boxes, I have 13 statues that have not been unboxed. A couple of them are 2 years old now. This CZcamsr thing can get overwhelming. This is why I take as many breaks as possible when I feel burned out and focus on the priorities in my life. Continue doing this for fun. Just don't catch yourself treating this like a main job.
here's what happened : economic slowing down, companies cutting budget (some even dropping jobs). That goes to advertising funds at adsense which goes directly to the income of content creator like you, genmin, etc. Not to mention that many companies change their ads platform from youtube to TT (like it or not). Not sure about USA, but the rest of the world are. But you are always the beacon of my statue desire when its kicking in recently. I hope you coming back stronger after taking a short break if necessary.
Never feel bad for stepping back and taking time off to refresh. I too being a CZcamsr and editor of my outdoor channel have had to take some time off of editing. Just to get that refresher I needed to help keep the drive of filming, editing, and putting out content, because I do really enjoy it but at times do feel burned out. Also thank you for this awesome channel and hard work you put in. I’m a lot like Cody and have no close friends who are collectors. So I don’t ever get to share my cool statues with anyone. So I look to FB pages like yours to share my statues with, even though I’m not even a Batman collector . I’m a turtle guy lol. I do really enjoy seeing all the awesome Batman statue's you unbox and review. Ps. Awesome to hear you’re an educator. I am also one myself.
Thanks for sharing your struggles with the community. I'm sure many of us understands where you're coming from... I know I do! I've also been a workaholic most of my life and the idea of slowing down or taking time away was a very odd and alien concept. But I've been coming around from a major case of burnout myself and it's a process to learn to enjoy downtime away from your work, hobby, and/or obsession/s. I'm curious, was this filmed before or after your family cruise? Hopefully before and I hope that after your trip, you've been able to recenter, recalibrate, and re-access things with a clearer perspective. (I'm watching this late because we just came back from a trip... Vacation Season is a wonderful way to return to your own internal zen!)
I really appreciate your understanding and support! It’s comforting to know others relate to this journey. Yes, the video was filmed before the cruise, and the time away was invaluable for my mental reset.
This video is conveniently timed right near Gems house unfortunate video. Did the idea come from that? That video got a lot views though.😅. Im just asking, please try to be authentic, because fakeness is easy to see. Because some people are really are burnt out.
Congrats on building what you've built. I've watched you long enough to have seen more than a few of these "I'm burned out" videos and therefore know you won't take a break . However in the interests of your health, because I've also heard you on previous occasion talk about the undiagnosed ADHD thing, perhaps you should seek professional input and diagnosis. Cheers.
Thank you for your concern! I really appreciate your support and the reminder about prioritizing my health. It’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind as I continue creating content.
Hey! I saw your thank you email, but I had not seen this video before watching your Sunday livestream earlier, so it was a nice surprise seeing you mention my letter and showing off the items. I’m glad you liked it! Appreciate what you do and happy to be a part of this community.
Hey Chris don't be to hard on yourself with your pace your on the go all the time I can see how you feel!!I've been on you chanell now for over 3 years and its you and all the people in the chats that keep me collecting I don't think I'd have a collection like I do now if it wasn't for your chanell glad to be here!!😊 and its always good.to talk even if you don't have have any issues i think!!Peace !! Have a great weekend!!
Plot twist: Cody's last name is Rhodes WHOA!!!! I get it man, I have a modest 8 statues and I'm Burned Out!!! I have had Dark Knight III variant on PO for along time given that the shipping is 800 bucks. I've been trying to sell it for awhile now with no luck thus I don't really see myself getting anymore statues anytime soon. with that said, I can only imagine how you feel sometimes. Above all else tho, take care of yourself.
the "burn out" or "work" video grabs I do not like on a channel. I do love the thank the community. I think if its not fun then you take a break, you have to get back to roots. Lets remember its hobby for the majority of us. I liked the cave builds I love the inspiration of displays or videos showcasing that. It helps others to either see what is possible or like art museum see it the way you have it displayed. Keep to that and stay away from these attention grab videos of well I think I am quitting etc. Lots of people use these as releases from the day to day grind!
Just trying to share how I'm feeling at the moment, not mention to be an attention grab, but I do think we don not talk enough about the mental stresses of the hobby, so that I am proud to share with everyone.
I know why you're burnt out. You're burnt out cause its your hobby. Your hobby will burn u out since u are constantly doing it, even tho u love your hobby, tht doesnt mean your hobby cant burn u out. I love playing video games, and it's one of my hobbies, but I've definitely been burnt out on play games multiple times and took small breaks. If u dont wa.t to take a break, maybe come up with a new series of videos like how u do look back/reviews om figures u already did. Find another avenue within your hobby might help with being burnt out since u will be doing something completely new within your hobby. Break or not, ill be here😂😂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's comforting to know I'm not alone in feeling burnt out sometimes. Your suggestion about exploring new video series is a great idea-I’ll definitely consider it!
It's very easy when you go hard in on something to burn out. I do it all the time. It is good during those time to ask why you are doing these things. If it is the hobby usually that means am I enjoying myself. It usually makes me go back into my collection. Looking at my art pages, reading the comics, etc. Enjoy the videos. I like your new art bend. If we ever run into each other at a con again we can talk about the likely evolution the art collection will take.
@@able75dev60 give me a break! he collects statues and he's crying about burn out! and "first world problems" is not a term you're supposed to take 100 percent on the dot literally. unless you want to.

@@BatmanStatueCollector possibly, depending on the motivation. Are you doing it for views or truly helping. Sometimes the lines appear blurred with your videos.
Best advice I can give you is that none of your followers/subscribers are going to lose sleep if you slow down. Take care of your physical and mental health first and don’t be hard on yourself.
I hear you, Chris and I feel like Cody, I am one of those guys who friend's are not into that, so I don't even talk to much about it. At least your channel makes me feel like we are part of this wonderful hobby. So I thank you and because of you I even had the pleasure of meeting up with Eric B. So Chris I hope this comment gives you that motivation. Thank you for the time you put in for us.

the "burn out" or "work" video grabs I do not like on a channel.
@@BatmanStatueCollector Chris I believe you have said you’re also into legos. Maybe switch it up and do a video or two on that?
Yeah I love this hobby to
Gem Mint dreams a video... it gets views... guess who jumps on the bandwagon
Don't care about the views, just sharing how im feeling at the moment. It's good to to openly talk about mental health.
Is this what rich people complain and cry about? 🤣🤣 dude is stressed out over a statue collecting hobby🤣 insane..
No one I know that is in this hobby or hobbies like it are rich. It's a constant cycle of saving, selling and trading.
@@able75dev60 be that as it may, this is effectively a parody of first world problems.
@@able75dev60 give me a break! he collects statues and he's crying about burn out!
and "first world problems" is not a term you're supposed to take 100 percent on the dot literally. unless you want to.
@@able75dev60 i'm choking on the word salad that i just read. what in the name of god are you talking about? it's a rhetorical question, please don't answer.
You’re awesome Chris! Thank you for teaching a better way to collect statues and art! My wallet doesn’t love ya lol but keep up the amazing work
Thanks my friend!!
Take a break, bro!
Does anyone else not like listening to someone who has the dream man cave moan about things?! 😂 Come on Chris! You’re a psychologist right? People pay you to listen to them moan… nobody is paying us! 😆
Why do you feel the need to make a video about this? Readjust your priorities!
I wanted to share how I'm feeling, which I think can be a healthy thing to do in this hobby.
Thank you for sharing such wise words! It’s a reminder we all need from time to time. Your support means a lot!
🤪 dont think you have! You seem on it all the time!
You should look into hiring an intern part time to do your editing
I hear you, Chris and I feel like Cody, I am one of those guys who friend's are not into that, so I don't even talk to much about it. At least your channel makes me feel like we are part of this wonderful hobby. So I thank you and because of you I even had the pleasure of meeting up with Eric B. So Chris I hope this comment gives you that motivation. Thank you for the time you put in for us.
You're the first statue collector I followed years ago and got me into it. what a honest video, keep going chris🫡🤘🦇 (cody what a legend)
I really appreciate your support! It's awesome to know that my videos inspired you to dive into statue collecting. Let’s keep the passion alive!
