why do i always laugh so damn hard each and every time when he does his staredowns? I think i know why now.. i think it's the music that plays when he does it each time. The music is so awesome. Larry is a LEGEND. i love him.
I love that Larry learns nothing from these staredowns yet insists on doing them anyway. It’s like he’s trying to smell your lies or find a big piece of paper on your face reading “LIAR”.
I just noticed there's a clarinetist in the background at 4:39 and it almost looks like he went from performing jazz to performing the show's iconic staredown music
Let's be real, when Larry David makes the stare-down on anyone, it's basically a requirement for them to stare back. It gets funnier because it's almost like a competition, like the one with his dad for example. This is really funny!
it's quite interesting (next to my reply to Jarods comment about the "okay" missing in the video - it turns out it was simply not there yet in earlier episodes!) to see the evolution of the "staredown" - in earlier episodes it's still relatively "normal" (the very first one especially) and not all that intrusive. And then it gets more and more intense with Larry also "diving in" and getting really close to the other guy's face to do the staredown even in quite scary proximity to the "being checked out" liar. And yes, at about half the video then the "ok" addon afterwards starts and really rounds off the whole "routine". Finally, in one of the last ones Larry even getting stared down himself by Seinfeld is really quite the "cherry on the top of the cake"...
actually you are totally right, Darknut, and you, Jarod, should really have made the effort of watching the whole compilation before complaining about this: it turns out from abut half of the video every single clip then actually includes the "ok" or an "alternative ending" (like being cut off by a phone ringing) whereas indeed the first ones never have an addon after the "stare down". Me too I thought that the "okay" was there all the time, but after watching the compilation and strongly assuming it was done in chronological order - it turns out that the "okay" was only a later addon they invented somewhere in the middle of the show's run to add even more "spice" to the staredown. And us not remembering it didn't exist in earlier episodes I guess is simply because we heard it so many times in later ones that one simply assumes it must always have been there...
since some of you guys on here probably also speak spanish - starting from 1:28 what did the woman/waiter actually discuss in front of Larry that she then, obviously lyingly, condensed as "christmas" ?
Effectiveness of The Larry David Stare in determining lies:
0.00%

Disagree... he knows there all lying so it's 100% accurate
Best thing about this is Larry never accomplished anything by doing this lol
When Larry Davis says "Let me ask you something", don't let him.

As soon as those first four notes come in, I’m dying.

Ok. You win. I'm rewatching the full show for the third time.
Everytime Larry does that stare and ends with okay it kills me everytime because you know Larry Never accomplished anything at the end LOL

I forgot about the stares. He doesn’t do them in the newer seasons. Bring back the stares LD.
Larry, you're hilarious. People should basically watch this everyday for many years to come!!!!! Larry is the man!
The one with Nat has to be my favorite, as if he’s also been doing it his entire life and Larry learned it from him.
i love it when larry does the stare
but then he gets the stare 👀

I´ll start using this in real life, and i won´t regret it
I only hope you've been playing the music while you do it
the Larry David stare and "pretty good" are my favorites
Prettyyyyyy prettyyyyyyy prettyyy good
There’s something definitely’canine’ about the whole ‘stare down’ rituals!

MJF should get an award for staying still during the larry staredown...8:27
When Jerry pulls away then goes back in hard - Lost. My. Shit!
That stare at 5:55 gets me the hardest, especially when Larry raises his chin lol. I fucking love Larry David!!
NorieagaHDR just watched this episode today
i AM GOING TO BUY THE FULL SERIES ON blu ray immediately!!!!
Save ue money and get HBO lol
The stare that says “I want you to know that I know.”
Okay.
Jerry is also the man!!!!
Funkhousers eyes widening man.. that must have taken a thousand takes. 👁️👄👁️
Love it : ) as one who watches people for non verbal cues. Hilarious.
This is classic stuff.CLASSIC!!
Bobby Lee's take is easily the most cartoonish, and its kinda my favorite
1:29 Spanish is my first language so this scene is a lot funnier knowing what they're saying
Are you sure? 😑
Something about a house is all I caught but I presume she's admitting what Larry wants to know, you don't need to know Spanish to work that out...
I've dreamt twice that I've done this With someone else. This show is really impacting me xD
Live for this
Best part is with the legendary MJF.😂😂😂😂
The Seinfeld one is great.
Why are people making what they seem to think is a big point, that the stare is ineffective? It's just funny.
This entire video is pointless, because you left out the best part of these stare-downs:
"Okay"
I don't think I did because he doesn't say "okay" every time.

My favorite one is the Bobby Lee one. 🤣
7:22 🤣 I bet at 8:05 Ricky bursts into laughter.
… okay.

I know very little Spanish but from what she and the waiter said I heard the words 'trabajo = work', 'resibo = receipt', and 'casa = house'.
The waiter asked, "What are you doing with this old man?" She said, " I work for him and but he doesnt pay much." lmao
@@JuanPadilla-bn9mz Yup, and then the waiter says, "Of course not," followed by, "Look, if he gives you anything, give him a receipt."
Alright
Okay...
Lemme ask ya somethin...
we do this from now on ! fact check / stare of the truth / soul checking .
