My parents were physicians and the question of whether or not to cover up with blankets during a fever never came up. Generally their approach was tough out the fever without medication to the point that you're able to, and regularly monitor the temperature. If the temperature were to go over a dangerous level for a certain period of time, which is rare, then you would need to get help.

Desde hace muchos años uso el mismo método cuando estoy enfermo. Me pongo 3 camisetas, dos 2 pantalones de chándal, Tres pares de caceltines y gorro de invierno. Después bebo un vaso de aspirina y paracetamol y me voy a la cama a dormir. Más tarde me despierto muy muy sudado (the most gross part of it xd) y por lo general sano, pero si sigo enfermo, repetito todo el proceso una vez más. Después si sigo enfermo, yo no sé qué hacer, porque no he llegado a ese punto aún y no quiero llegar a ese punto xd
