I always find it so satisfying to see a fly wheel being turned.
It's like giving your vehicle a scratch for an itch it could never reach.

    hello sir james
recently bought a go776 lathe. actually its been just over a year. warranty has expired,
i have not used the lube pump. so i filled it with water an ran it, it did not pump,
pulled pump apart an d found the impeller in six parts, no problem i will just call grizzly
and order another one. they dont have a part no. for just the impeller. you have to buy
the whole pump for $ 172.00 . i went to harbor freight an got a sub, pump'
just thought i would pass this along. keep up the great work sir james. regards skip goryews

Slow and steady wins the race.

The new ceramic inserts with whiskers work mint for turning flywheels. Looks like a CD when it’s done...

Make sure that the person you're learning from knows what he's doing!

Remember, when you cut the flywheel you lower the pedal engagement point, make sure you have enough adjustment left.

Hard hot spots ,,, That's why it's best to surface grind a Fly wheel than one hasn't got the problem from hot spots

If it has hot spots it needs to be replaced according to all manufacturer's recommendations. Any hot spots indicate that the flywheel has been overheated and catastrophic failure is highly likely. Therefore, grinding isnt the solution.
