I built this. Bit of a nightmare, and I’ve been building kits for over 50 yrs now. Bits popping off repeatedly, and those gaps! However, with a little extra time spent, it actually turned out to be a decent model. Shop around for a good price. Got mine for £19.95.
I painted mine as looks awful just out of the box! I hope Airfix do this in their proper starter 1/43rd scale kit range for more detail seeing as they've got the licence
Never thought of painting it what a great idea! Might get another and do that in a custom livery , did you paint it before assembly or after . Yeh a 1/43 version would be great ! Thanks for watching
@110RCSCALETALES Yes, I've done the white Poppy Appeal all over wrap livery and the Lego Store Leicester Square one and working on the eBay wrap as we speak
i built it in 5 hours total. Terrible instructions without any words and with parts not numbered for building it. If the parts have numbers on them and I would identify pieces going to. When I have finished and the joins fit perfectly if I feel the part "clicked" shut together. Overscale fender. Back platform needs a floor to fit around the stairs.. Not an exhibition grade model which Airfix is good with aircraft. Decals are very good and I put route numbers outside the boards as inside is too dark. Good value and suitable for those haven't got airbrush and special tools to make it to exhibition standard.
Yeh I agree with a lot you have said, mine just would not fit properly in places . I have built a lot of airfix aircraft and they are far superior . The bus is aimed at a younger modeller I think
