In today's video I show all my tortoise enclosures, their daily routines, and we also feed each tortoise!
The other day I got some UNBELIEVABLE footage of my tortoise laying eggs. We also went around and fed ALL the tortoises and put the GoPro on Ike for the day!

I have logistical questions. How much does it cost to do this? Are you paid to rescue and heal the tortoises? How do you pay for all of this? What will you do with all the babies? You obviously know what you are doing and are a very good care taker. I am genuinely curious about the financial and time cost of keeping so many.
I'm so sorry for the late response!! So I just love tortoises and I've always been around them. Most of my tortoises are rescues and here in AZ it's the perfect weather for Sulcata Tortoises so they have the whole yard to explore (and space is very important for sulcatas). Unfortunately I'm not able to keep every single baby with the amount of babies they have, so after I make sure they are 100% healthy and ready, I'll let some go to new and good homes. I also like to send them in pairs so they aren't alone.

These guys built all the burrows themselves! But during the rainy season I temporarily cover up the burrows and then the tortoises will stay inside of their heated tortoise shed. And yeah they poop a ton! hahaha lots of work but I love it 🐢
The poop is good plant fertilizer as it's just processed vegetation. They're vegans.
@@TheTortoiseWhisperer Does their poop make good compost for the garden after it decomposes? I mean, they are vegetarians, so there's no chance there might be pathogens like with canines.

do they have a scratch post where they can scratch their shell? i saw a video where the person had attached several scrub brushes together. it looked like a little scratch post drive by or car wash center. the tortoise loved it.

Were they sick, injured, neglected or what? (Did someone grow tired of all the care they need, and give them up for adoption? And, also why do you keep them separated?
