Looking forward to Part 2. I've got a pedal car that my Dad bought for me when I was 4 or 5 years old (I'm now 69). That pedal car got left behind at the farm when we left so many years ago - every one of my many cousins and I played with that car whenever we visited and it got oh so beat up, covered in dents and is now missing a seat bottom. That dust pan sure looks like it could be modified into a seat bottom for a pedal car ! Admire the craftsmanship and appreciate the willingness to share !

While I enjoyed this video, I gotta say, as someone who has used a dust pan every day for work (Movie theatres and now Bars) for the last 20 years, I don't really care about the curve of the back, but the ability for the front to stay tight to the ground so I can sweep things in. I'd rather take multiple trips to the trash can for a shallow pan than have to fight to get the material into the pan in the first place. Either way, like the idea of this, sorry for the rant which is really just me sheading off a couple decades of poorly made off the shelf items that I've had to endure.

Wow Im glad I learned of your channel through This old Tony, I really like your way of doing and explaining things. One quick tip for the countersinking(I do a lot of woodwork) is to use the flat of the head on the screw. So the pointy end of the screw would be facing up and you would be testing the countersink with the flat of the head against the metal. When the width of the head can just fit into the countersink then its the perfect depth.

Ron, I'm ashamed to say I'd not heard of you before today (I saw the This Old Tony reference in your title and clicked reflexively). Please believe, however, that I just liked/sub'd/bell'd, and am thoroughly looking forward to seeing more from you. You are, hands down, one of the best explanatory narrators on CZcams. I'm not crystal clear how one maintains a Buddha-like tranquility like that, but your calm, almost clinical detailing of your steps is strangely soothing to watch.
You're like the Bob Ross of CZcams metalworkers (I mean that in the nicest, most flattering possible way): "Now I'm going to cut the hammerform. So we'll countersink some screws... happy little screws, and there: nice and flush, isn't that plumb? Now we'll scribe a line... a happy little line... maybe at an angle... I think I'll be setting mine to 20 degrees, but you can set yours however y'all like... there's no wrong way to fabricate! Now we'll switch to a jigsaw..."
