- The Super Mario Movie is coming out in less than a week, so I thought it'd be fun to remake the original Super Mario Bros. using Unity! I got Mario shmoovin around the place in this episode, along with some basic enemies and powerups, but I'll be adding more features in future devlogs! :D #mario #gamedev #unity

in every single artstyle of Super Mario Bros., the koopas always look so happy for some reason.
Missed opportunity to change all the red from Mario to green for Luigi, but overall great video and artwork! You gained my sub :D
I'm thinking I might add Luigi as a playable character in a future video with some small tweaks to the movement - I'll see how I go :D

It's a 3 main elements to a platformer:
1) Platforming ( Of course.)
2) Add a special gimmick to your game. Trust me this It's very important.
3) Add your own art style. This makes the game memorable

the art and movement work quite well with the mechanics, only think i would suggest if you plan to continue on this is to emphasize your stylization more on the ground and block tiles, as they feel a bit to much like the original compared to everything else.

People are like Mario is getting his own movie but a lot of people forget that Mario had his own live-action movie back in the 90s (even though it was a total flop) so the new Mario movie is technically the 2nd Mario movie to be made even though the 2 movies are not related to each other
My chemistry teacher talked about this when we were talking about the Mario movie 🤣 Maybe I'll check out the 90s film if I get the chance :P

If you continue this, please add other characters (Like Luigi, Waluigi, and Wario, for example.) Having different movesets could add replayability to the game, and also add something unlocked when you beat the game. The game looks really cool, and I like it a lot.

I see that Mario can only jump at a specific height when pressing the jump button. You should make it so the longer the jump button is held down, the higher Mario jumps.
