What does that mean, to "complete words on an essay"?
@@montek3885 for example the teacher told you to make an essay of 5 pages, but when you finished it you only got 4 pages so you start to use redundant words just to add one more page. Redundant sentences like “and therefore as a writer, i have made a conclusion that this particular subject is....” when you could just write “the conclusion is.....”
Jeff Goldblum seems like a guy who would wander into a person's house, and just stay for a few days. And he would be so polite you just wouldn't have the heart to kick him out. He'd wake you up in the middle of the night, "I just saw the most beautiful commercial on late night tv, do you have a minute?"

Jeff Goldblum always feels like he is in character, except the character is Jeff Goldblum.
I think that's true for any human, although Jeff is one of the fewer who is very self-aware about it. That's why you sense him as a character or "act"; happens when people can see themselves from the third person being themselves consciously.

jeff is just the right amount of creepy and it fits so well with Conan's own unique brand of creepy.
I don't see creepy with him. Back in the early '00s, my wife and I lived in NYC, went to a lot of Off Broadway theatre, where we on numerous occasions saw Goldblum in theatre lobbies or seats (attending, not performing), and the guy was always with a different drop dead gorgeous woman. Each one seemed to be having the time of their life with Jeff. The guy was a major league ladies man.

I always assumed the purpose of desk was to frame and put the focus on the celebrity guest. We see them whole. And most U.S. talk shows have abandoned the sidekick seated on other side of guest.
In a number of UK celeb chat shows there are no desks, but the interviewer is located at such a distance to the celeb(s) that they are rarely seen in the same shot. Quite different from Conan's new set up.
On St Valentine’s Day 2019, I saw Jeff Goldblum in concert with his jazz band, in Pittsburgh. I entered the theatre to see that Jeff was standing on the floor, back up against the stage, waiting for us all to come in, so as to hang out before the show.
He was so hilarious and gracious to his fans, and, his being originally from the Pittsburgh area, he was recognizing family, childhood friends, and even old teachers in the audience!
It was awesome!
Conan new look is like an old Dad who wants to connect with the new generation.
It's pretty clear that Conan devised that look himself and it never worked for me. I'm glad it's seen only rarely on the podcast video, usually when a high profile guest is booked. He wore the tie and leather jacket combo for Ron Howard recently and it looks as awkward as ever.
