My son is nearly 2 and a half here in England they won’t diagnose autism until they are over 5 years old and watching this video of your son it’s mimicking everything that my son does here but he won’t get diagnosed until he’s over 5 ❤️ xx

I love to see parents who admit there are issues with their child. I am an early childhood educator. The amount of parents who refuse to listen or accept there is something wrong is sad even when it is obvious there is a major problem. The problem is the child is disadvantaged because they miss out on early intervention therapies which makes such a difference in my opinion. I suppose it is a grief process realising your child has a disability and parents can get stuck in the denial stage of this? ❤️
My son Maximus is so similar to Jacob 🧡 thank you so much for sharing your life with us it’s really helped me on my journey since Maximus’s diagnosis especially as we haven’t seen anyone due to Covid.

i have a son who is blind although hes not autistic ...they do have similar behaviors ....we sought out sensory moter itegration .......it made a huge difference in his acceptance of change and his repetative behaviors ..not to mention his way around the world ..niw 33 yrs old it has been a long time but that smi ..did wonders for his sensory issues

You are giving me so much positive vibes, my 1 1/2 is being assessed for Autism and since watching your videos you have been helping so much. My little boy only says mum but most of the times he’ll only shout and scream (so non-verbal/partly non-verbal) all the stimming Jacob does is 100% my boy. Yes my son didn't give eye contact either but has learned over the years and is doing better with this teachers and others helping him but its a work in progress.

White noise might help with sleep. It works for my grandson.

Tip toe walk and sitting in “W” position are also early sign of autism. My son have those signs

My baby daughter turned 2 in January shes not talking yet either. She does spin like him . Shes not diagnosed with autism yet. Im having children's advocacy come over they work with early intervention. I'll keep you posted with her

Thank you for sharing. My little girl is 2 1/2 and she shows pretty much all those signs. I noticed the no eye contact right away and she didn’t want to be held. She doesn’t answer to her name or point when she wants something . She says stop and hi. I keep telling her doctor I know something is wrong . She doesn’t know danger and she does hit her head sometimes . I have to constantly watch her, I can’t take my eye off of her for a split second. That’s why I’m so afraid to put her in daycare because I’m scared something is going to happen because she’s so busy and curious. I’ve had to child proof my home from top
To bottom. Her doctor did refer her to get tested but she has to meet the criteria of having already had therapies like speech, occupational etc and also a hearing test. She just started an early intervention prograM but it’s hard when it’s virtual. But I will not stop until I get some answers.

I’m happy to say that she’s started her therapies. It’s a little tough because she’s new to it. She’s making progress already. And I’m very hopeful that she
will continue to progress.
Her pediatric doctor referred me to a neurologist for her and they were the ones who stated that she needs to have already had the therapies. 🤦🏽♀️ idk if it’s a state by state thing but I live in MS, and I agree it’s very backwards. But I’m staying on top of it. She’s getting ready for school now and they specialize with little ones like my baby. I’m so nervous but I know she has to have that social interaction. 😩☺️

I think 17 months is way to early to be worried about lack of talking. My eldest son hardly said any words at 18 months and now at 4 is very advanced with his speaking. Give it more time

Hey read interesting potty books with them. Ask then if they want to try and they will decide the right time.
They may start then regress but don't be pushy.

My son has all this behaviour but he barely flap his hands and he make eye contact but not much.. He'll be 3 years old in July but he doesn't say a word,, Always blabbing and shouting

Hi i have a son with autism.we r Australian citizen.recently we moved Australia to USA.but in USA everything is slow because of Covid.centrelink gave 1300 dollar mothly for my two baby.my son is not diangnos yet.in Australia what is tha benefit for autism.Financially and overall?caz we r thinking to go back to Australia.
