- I had a bad crash on June 17. I fell about 20 feet and the impact bruised my liver. I strained my neck but after getting X Rays I confirmed I didn't break anything. The doctor wanted me to take 4-6 weeks off the bike but I busted my ass with rehab every single day. I rode the stationary bike, yoga or gym every single day. I actually started the with the stationary bike in the sauna the day after my crash when i was barely able to even walk. when i went to Arizona for my daughters tournament I went to the gym every day. I took 15 days off and felt 90% healed. I decided to head up to Snow Summit for my first ride because to me, it's one of the safer places to ride.
I was definitely nervous and the plan was to take it easy. But after the first lap I felt good. I was actually surprised at how comfortable I was with especially on the jumps. The park was pretty empty and it was only me and Luis so we just hit back to back laps. Definitely good to be back. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me after my crash. I really appreciate the love.
I hope everyone enjoys Independence Day. Happy Birthday America!
Good to see you back on the trails so quickly, you've got a healthy control over you fears, Have a great Independence day
Thanks brotha 🙏 I know it's more dangerous to ride stuff timid so I tried to warm up until I was comfortable to start sending the big stuff at full speed.
Just rode today was good riding. Welcome back to the trails.

Good to see you back at it. I had a similar incident happen to me, not the falling off a cliff ,but similar injuries.I don't know about you, but I have had to reevaluate how and why I ride.I am not trying to tell you wat to do.I am speaking on this, because no one rarely does.I've come to the conclusion for myself that I can't live without riding, so I now ride to ride for tomorrow.I am constantly reminding myself, because I am a risk taker/adrenaline junkie.Peace and stay safe Tommy 🙏
Yes I totally get it, I don't fear broken bones but I definitely fear death and my crash made me realize how close I got to it. The same thing happened when my friend Calvin crashed on skull drop, I thought he broke his neck and since then I stopped taking that drop. I still weight risks on the bike and I honestly feel the bike park is much safer than the normal trails I ride. Hope you get better 🙏
@@TommyHuynh I am all good now, this was almost Two years ago I had that unfortunate accident.I broke a bunch of ribs,my tail bone and some vertebrae.I didn't know at the time I had lacerated my kidney (stage 4).The thing that saved me was I was on a three day fast.So the stem cells in my body were multiplying. So because of this,my kidney started healing immediately.I did spend 3 days in hospital,no intervention from doctors.I have you to thank Tommy, you inspired me to fast.🙏 Thank you brother.
Glad you're okay and back on the bike again! God bless 🙏
@@mtbjoser thank you 🙏🙏🙏
@@TommyHuynh Welcome!
It's nice to see your new video, Tommy. Take it easy and stay safe out there. The most important thing is to enjoy your ride.✌✌
Wow, that was some scary fun. Usually that park stuff scares me to watch but you were riding well so it was fun to see.
Dude, so glad that you are okay and back in the saddle. We all know what it's like. Any crash can cost you big, but that crash you had was scary. Ride safe, ride hard.
@mattpoe9391 thanks brotha 🙏 very blessed to be back on the bike
Happy 4th Tommy. Thx for posting today,it’s getting me hyped for my ride.
Hell yeah 👊👊👊 happy 4th 🇺🇲 enjoy your ride
Bowling balls of steel🤣🤣def threw me off with the serious intro, I was like wtf and hit rewind. I hurt myself on 10 ply and also the YT algos showing me some common crashes and dude getting severely injured..I started shopping for more protection (spine, etc..) for those rowdy days. Especially since I am over 50 and still trying to jump like the youngsters, but I love sending it!
@@randybinc.6443 yeah dude, no such thing as too much protection 🙏
Holy fck dude, back on it already lol. I thought for sure it'd be a few weeks off 🤘
Yeah the plan was to take a month off but honestly I worked hard on my rehab every single day, even when I went to AZ for my daughters volleyball last week, I was at the gym every morning 👊
@@TommyHuynh Right on dude! Ride safe 🤘
Yeah T..Good to see you back. I was there at Summit on Tues too- saw Luis take the spill near the end of the run from the chair lift -we were there w Kenny etc. My first time- slow and easy!
@@rufusbass oh nice! Doesn't matter how slow you are as long as you're having fun that's all that matters
Glad to see you back bro 🎉
So good to be back 👊👊👊
Yeah brother Happy 4th❤
Happy 4th 👊👊👊
Tommy is back in action.
Yes I am 💪💪💪
That ejection crash was absolutely spectacular! Your fitness is evident throughout. That’s one for the history books ! Glad to see you back shaking it off !😎

Thanks brotha 🙏 how is your wife doing. You're in my prayers
@@TommyHuynh shes in a wheelchair now but she is doing really well, she takes Reishi, Cordyceps, Turkey tail, and Lions mane mushrooms all in tincture form 4 times a day and honestly I think its keeping the Cancer at bay! Thankyou for enquiring Tommy your prayers are helping I'm sure!
@rogereheadbyrne4790 that's amazing! I 💯 believe in "alternate medicine" in reality it's been around for hundreds of years. I don't trust pharmaceutical industry. I'll keep you both in my prayers 🙏
LOL good to see you still got your balls......, although strangely difficult to find at times, especially after a big crash.....glad you're ok and able to ride again
Awesome 🤘

"it was at this moment, he knew..." LMAO
🤣😂 never say last lap or 1 more run
That’s me & my brother at 3:33. Wish I knew you were behind me I would have said what’s up to you
@afain oh dope hope you guys had a good time 👊 the park was nice and empty
I'm not a doctor but there's something peculiar about that pelvic x-ray🤔.
😂😂 yeah I think he was surprised when he saw my x rays
Great to see you back! Just curious if you getting yeeted off the cliff is going to make it in to your opening montage?
Yeah it will for sure
Same accident on the berm on the final part to going to the gondola that berm I fell hard like I had a fat scar from the crash I hate that berm now 😞☹️
@Tyler-the-creator 🤣 yeah that berm has some big brake bumps and a pretty deep sand pit. What gets everyone is that you are just chilling and riding to the chair lift so it can catch you off guard
@@TommyHuynh literally dude it sucks
@@TommyHuynh also I’m a big fan of ur videos sometimes when I go to snow summit I’m like is he there and like I can’t find you
My close friend texted his wife to let her know that he was doing one last run. He crashed on West ridge. Never made it home. He had 4 young kids.
@@jbgood71 damn! That really sucks
😂 How can you even sit down? 😅
😂😂 It's not easy
