That’s what I was going to say this thing is just an animal like it’s most likely a hyper carnivore but yet it’s also a reptile, so couldn’t it just slow down its metabolism just like most other reptiles, but I guess this one can’t because they lost that feature due to eating so much food and having such a large body probably this thing hunted tons of schools of fish ate extremely large sharks, probably even hunting on the megalodon, alongside with hunting prehistoric whales, along to the modern day whale and possibly praying on other large dragons and possibly she was probably the last of her kind but there could be possibly other ones I probably actually have the ability to control their metabolism. She’s kind of like a skull crawler where they just do nothing but eat and for the megalodon, I believe it would most likely be an easy prayer item to catch when it’s near the surface and possibly this dragon that she took big chunk out of its praise back went it went to swoop down, probably in order to eat it while still alive, and also take it up, which means less weight to carry for it the dragon would most likely probably wait by the shores for a dead whale or a dead megalodon, and that thing is honestly bigger than a megalodon like that thing, we need to consume a lot of food maybe this red death only had a mutation where she can’t control her metabolism or she can only eat or her species just lost that feature

I think the Red Death was just an alpha dragon living in a volcano. It wasn’t necessarily evil for eating other dragons, that’s just what some carnivores do, they eat things smaller than them. And the death song in the series ate dragons too, but it wasn’t necessarily considered evil, just dangerous and something to avoid. And of course the Red Death was going to fight back, a bunch of people and dragons came into its home and started attacking it, of course it was going to not hold back, and being an alpha it probably would’ve been angry and seen it as insolence.

How I view some of them: Dave: revenge and misunderstood red death: an animal who was hungry and territorial. Chef: want power and to be noticed. Queen barb: power, lonely and misunderstood.
At the end of the day it made sense for the red death to have other dragons do its bidding. For one: it’s big enough to bully almost any other dragon and two: being that big it’s more efficient to have others bring food to you than waste valuable energy finding a suitable food source
you can actually kinda understand which is broken and which is pure evil from their appearance too. DreamWorks made tje pire evil ones more brutal and "angry", while the broken ones look more "normal"
