- Just when it seemed like #disney and #pixar were dead, they finally got some good news with the release of #insideout2 which not only has a better opening weekend than the original from 2015, but even has a good chance of hitting $1 billion if it legs out...also with a strong hold #badboysrideordie is projected to make some profit, though it still lags behind the 2020 release

My sister took her kids to see and they love it. I think this film can make a billion dollars since there nothing big until The Minions 4 comes out. So long Disney can follow this formal, they will continue to make money at the box office.

I bet at disney they are discussing already how they need to make quick Inside Out 3 and fill it to the brim with The Message.
With the success of Inside Out 2, Iger has no more "excuses" for future failures.

Pixar NEEDED this movie to be successful. Pixar has not had a real hit since 2019. Inside Out 2 would have been Pixar's LAST chance if I was in charge of Disney.
And Disney since 2023 or 2022 if you don't count Guardians 3

Inside Out 2 being a successful movie is a good thing after waiting 9 years since the last movie. I think as long as the second week drop is super healthy combined with the positive WOM and that the film is staying in theaters for 100 days, it could very likely reach a billion even with Deadpool coming next month.
It'll be interesting to see what the week to week drop looks like. It might turn out to be front-loaded like a Marvel movie, but time will tell.
Family movies usually have strong legs.
the reason most marvel movies drop a lot on a second weekend because it was not well received but inside out 2 has 96% audience score word of mouth and repeat viewing will carry to a billion

It is mind blowing how much better this IO2 is doing compared to Pixar’s latest films. If you make a decent family friendly movie with no messaging, turns out you can profit.
And how will Despicable Me 4 do in comparison? It helps that its budget is $80-100m compared to IO2’s $200M.
No surprise people just want too see a decent movie they're familar with also outside of IF ( which has held very well) there have been no family films this year. Also rememeber Inside Out is a top 5 beloved Pixar film ( accrding too stats) it just is under the radar as compared too films like Toy Story, Incredibles, Finding Nemo etc.

And Moana2 will do this for Walt Disney Animation Studios this Thanksgiving. So them & Pixar have suckered audiences back to them with Sequels, just like Blue Sky did with Ice Age Sequels & Dreamworks did with Kung-Fu Panda. I mean, Kung Fu Panda 4 earlier this spring, has made almost $545 million worldwide on an $85 million budget. Inside Out2 has a $200 million budget😕
Its so weird to see a movie not flop for disney. One can only hope this is a good sign for the future of their movies.

So I can see why it doing so good.
