    Two beautiful and quality firearms. My Jericho is the generation made after January 2000. From the Z Factory in Vietnam. She's super accurate and feels good in my hands. Incredibly I found the trigger to be perfect. Truly happy with this 9mm. Fun review. I shoot it all the time in my backyard range. Planning on carrying it in Israel when I move there. Peace

    Fun fact, the Jerichos were originally made from Tanfoglio parts. Even though there is almost no aftermarket internal upgrades specifically for the Jericho, you can still upgrade the trigger by putting in small frame Tanfoglio components

    I’ve got the 941 F9 just like yours. With the supplied IWI magazines, it was a bit temperamental with hollow points. Then I got Mec-Gar CZ75B mags for it, and with those, it eats anything and is now the most reliable semiautomatic pistol I own. Only change I made to mine besides the mags was to switch out the OEM sights for a set of Meprolight tritiums.
    Terrific sidearm, not only very reliable but also easy to shoot accurately and very easy to maintain.
    I sometimes carry mine OWB under a sport jacket for “sheepdog” duty at my synagogue; otherwise it is a range gun. It is a bit large and heavy for a general purpose EDC. Glad I have one all the same.
    Good explanation as to how “Israeli carry” came about. Never heard that before but it makes sense. Interesting.
    Got you a new sub. Give that cat a head scratch for me.

      They are a pretty popular budget competition gat. They shoot nicer than a Cz-75B in my opinion.

    From what I understand, the IDF and Israeli police only ever issued the frame-safety models of the 941 to people, the slide-decocker version was only for export.

      @@midnightmythos hmm..lefties didn't even come to mind...somewhat agree, but couldn't they just use left thumb or index to activate on frame? Only around an inch difference from slide mounted version.

    • @midnightmythos
      @midnightmythos Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@duanchamp1988 us lefties could, if the control for it was also on the right side of the firearm. To my knowledge all jerichos with the frame safety only have them on the left side, which we can’t reach at all. We have the same problem with non-ambi safeties on 1911’s. It’s sad :( yeah you could potentially use your left index finger to hit it, but it being so far back on the frame we’d need to break our grip and could only do so with both hands on the gun safely. Same problem with hitting the slide release on guns like non gen5 glocks, it just doesn’t work well.

      This is correct, the decocker/safety models were intended for commercial export. To my knowledge it was never used by any organization anywhere in great numbers but did just fine on the civilian market.
      Also, @@midnightmythos, An ambi frame safety version did exist early on, it was made for the Philippine National Police in the 90's. It has long since been replaced. I have never been able to determine if that was a special order done at the factory or if they had their own armorers modify them in house once they arrived at the Philippines. At any rate, being these use the same part dimensions of small-frame Tanfoglio pistols, any ambi frame safety lever that works on them should also work on a frame safety Jericho with this caveat: Older generation Pre-firing pin block Jericho's will only be compatible with older generation, pre-firing pin block Tanfoglio safety levers. The sear and sear cage changed once the firing pin block was introduced into the slide. A modern firing pin block Jericho will be compatible with modern firing pin block small-frame Tanfoglio safety levers.

    Hi, I just got ordered the one on the right, the 941F, an older Safety Decocker version. Can I ask you to please explain how this works with a round in the chamber. Does it allow you to safetly decock it? I wasnt sure what you meant but appreciate the video.

    Such poor historical references. Definitely not a “copy” of the CZ lol most if not all Firearms are historically based on earlier successful models or parts. Also FYI IMI still exists and so does IWI. I think people should do more research before trying to educate masses on certain topics or fact. All in all nice guns.
