Troy is awesome. This video needs more views. If it was Tuomas, Floor or Marco, it would've had 30K+ views already.

cos pipe players in metal bands are unnecessary. He seems like a cool guy though.

What a fascinating backstory Troy has. He's like Glen Campbell, in that people don't realise just how many artists he has collaborated with. I had no idea his ripples spread so far. He reminds me of Peter Ustinov, or Michael Caine, in that I could listen to him speak on any subject, for hours. And that's before we even talk about his prodigous musical talent. He's the Nightwish guru.

Love Nightwish and love Troy's playing. Each instrument in Nightwish combined produces this mouth watering musical style and then put Floor up the front and you get....wow!! Beautiful! Seductive! Hard! Soft! Melodic! Love the music.

Didn't know that. Interesting to hear an Interview from Troy. More Instrumentals from Troy is needed. Oh my Goodness. What a weird Story about that Woman.

Troy my hero !!! I've discoverd him with Nightwish, then Tuomas lifetime of adventure (scrooge) and finaly Auri. I'm in love with his playing, and his voice. I like the Man Too, he seems to be a very nice person. And now I'm playing the whistle Too (high and recently low... Low is harder lol). So : big big thanks to this Man !!!

Troy seems like a swell guy. I've been listening to him in one form or another since rhe Summer of 1993 when I bought the CD "Book of Kells" by Iona, (just because I liked the cover art).
Now Hearing him with Nightwish is a real joy. His pipes transport seamlessly from one genre to another.

Hi Troy lovely interview 👍 We followed a similar path - at the age of 18 I played guitar and loved Mike Oldfield When I first heard the haunting pipe melody played by Paddy Maloney on side two of Ommadawn I knew I must learn to play them although I had no idea what they were. Alas it took me until the age of 55 to save up for a set but I can now play the melody from Ommadawn 😃 Thank you for your inspiration P.S. I recently worked on an album with Richard Brunton who I believe also played with Barbara Dickson

country western band in northern England, 🤣🤣💀 i think many people find their way to classical symphony music through soundtracks. that cello when the plane is landing in "The Usual Suspects" is Iconic.

Good interview! I really like Troy, the only thing I don't get is why he is wearing the Darwin Ichthys thing. He doesn't seem like someone that would make fun of other people's beliefs, but that is kind of what it means.

I don't think he's making fun of other's beliefs, in the same way that wearing a cross is not making fun of islam.
