    I start next semester. I’ve worked my butt off to get this far and I can’t wait. My brother was in a bad car accident when I was in high school and I will never forget those nurses that helped him. They inspire me to this day.

I also wanna be a registered nurse because of the pay and i wanna be able to support my family. I hope when i get older i see this comment again and reply to saying “You did it”.

    Hi Sarah,
    So I just got passed the first semester. It is currently summer vacation, and I been attempting to enjoy my time, get more rest, and work, but this has made me feel guilty. Second semester is around the corner, and im real nervous because of comments classmates are making. I have begun to cover skills, assessment, and calculations because I feel it will be very important this semester. Lately I am worried for my exams, and the nclex. I want to be successful and be good at what I do. Im not as great at answering nclex questions even though in a given situation I can maneuver my way around. (I just want to be better) I just dont know where to begin since there is so much to cover. I been following your channel for a long time. I have no one else to turn to. It would mean so much if you could suggest me things I can do to improve myself or keep my self busy. I hope you will be able to get back to me thanks a bunch.

      @RegisteredNurseRN  Před 7 lety +3

      Hello :) Either way you want to do it is great. Many people obtain an ADN and work for a while and then go back for a BSN. Many work places are pushing for nurses to have a BSN (however, it varies...some are strict about it, while others just want those RN initials). I would look at the local hospitals in your area and see what they require or call them. I have a video on the differences between an ADN and BSN degree if you would like to watch it: czcams.com/video/n2qAT7BQFwY/video.html

      Should take close to a year or a year.. Depends on how many credits you take per semester or if you go to school full time/part time

    Hi,
    I was wondering if you can give a tip how to study if you have like 3-4 classes in each semester?
    I am so used to having a part time school. Most of the time, each semester I would only have like 2 classes. I went to an accelerated program so ours only last like 9 weeks for two classes and then we go to next class. But the school I want to apply for a Nursing School is full time.. I believe that on my first semester I have like, 3 classes, since I took some already, so the next sem, I would have like 4 classes. So how do you study in a week? Do u study each subject per day? or like u study 2 subject in 1 day? I hope I am expressing my question clearly..
    So basically in a week, how do u study for 4 classes, how do you split it?
    Thank you..

      +chelzhi Excellent question and you did a great job expressing it :) My nursing school was set-up like this, and I would have this many classes a semester so I think I can give you some advice on it. The very first thing I would do at the beginning of each semester was take each course syllabus (you will get this on the first day and this tells you when all your tests, quizzes, and projects are due) and write down in a planner the dates of when everything was due. Then I would start planning out how I was going to study and take it day by day and week by week. For instances, say you have an exam in Patho and project due in the same week. I would complete my project a week before it was due and then spend the rest of the time studying for my Patho exam (I would skim the material in my other classes but if they didn't have an exam or quiz coming up, I didn't give them much time).
      Personally, I tried not to study multiple subjects in a day (I found it too confusing). I would look ahead in my planner and start studying for an exam in a class a week before the exam. I would dedicate all my study time to that particular class until the exam. However, if I did have two exams on the same day (very rarely...our nursing professors were really good about making sure that didn't happen) I would split my time studying each subject during the day.
      My advice to you is find a system that works for you, stay organized, work ahead on projects, and get plannner. I know it sounds really daunting juggling that many classes but once you find your rhythm you will find you can get through it. I hope in the next upcoming weeks to start making some videos on how to study in nursing school. Is there anything in particular you would like to see? Any suggestions would be awesome :)
      -Sarah

      Hi Sarah,
      Yes pls. show an example of how you juggle like 3 classes in one week, like lets say YOU HAVE AN QUIZ IN one class, and how would do other classes You mentioned that you try not to study like 3 different classes, I tried that before in a week, I have like 2 classes that semester, and I would study everyday with those 2 class/subject. Once I'm done on the first one I would jump to the second one, I find it not working well, so what I did I divide my week into 2 group, first one I would hard to get all my assignment or project done or anything needed to do on that class, and then after that, 2nd group: my 2nd class/subject I would do the same thing I did on the first one.
      I can't wait for your new video on you study :)
