Thanks for the video. We have two in our household. My wife has the Flip5 and my daughter has still her Flip4. The most important use-case is that both are so pocketable like no other phone while offering a huge screen. My daughter can put it into her small back pockets without exposing half of the phone to thieves. My wife also loves its look.
That's why I want one the s22 ultra is just way to big and heavy for me I think I will upgrade then sell my s22 ultra
Z Flip 5 is the best flip phone of 2023. Compact, powerful and really fun to use. The window display is a game changer. The UHD 60 video camera is fantastic - content creators will love it. It really look and feels very premium too. No complaints from the day I received my preorder. Apple user for 10 years and the Z Flip 5 made me excited about mobile phone technology again.

He really nailed it. This phone has no advantage over slab phones, it’s just fun. I got it because I love the nostalgia of having a flip phone again. The only practical purpose it has is size for woman who have tiny pocket or a small purse with limited room. Power users should stay away. It’s weak points are it’s camera and battery. So a power user can kill it in a day but I usually end the day at 40 to 60 percent, because I don’t use my phone a lot and I most respond to email, go on social media and occasionally stream videos.
that's good to know. I was scared of the battery claims because I don't like running out of battery in my daily commute which is quite long, but all I do is go into social media, reply emails, listen to music when I'm not home. If you get home with 40% that's a win for me
@ChibiChidorii that's all I use it for as well. I don't listen to music a ton, but you'll definitely make it through the day, even if you do. Another thing to consider is that the cases don't have a raised edge because the design of the phone makes it impossible, so I have no doubt that if you drop it on concrete and it falls flat, the screen will probably crack. I'm not clumsy, so I don't have to worried about that but if you are its definitely worth considering.

Yeah we know the battery isn’t as good as a S23 but actually telling us how long it lasts for you compared to the other phones. It helps us know how long it might last for us in comparison.
i bought it a few days ago and actually surprised, because it lasts me a whole day. I expected far worse battery performance because of all those negative reviews. i had s21 ultra before that.

@432wheels not so much lately (battery became weak), I would use powerbank at least 1 time in the middle of the day and charge it before night too & and then in the morning as well. With my new flip, I don't carry powerbank around anymore, can charge it before night with no need to recharge in the morning. Maybe using cover screen to do simple tasks helps with battery
Me too. The battery life easily gets me through the day. I'm starting to think the reviews were exaggerated. Battery life is good to go.@@_synchrophasotron

coming from a pixel 4XL, and galaxy line before that, this phone fit right in to my daily life. The aspect ratio immediately felt right, no adjustment needed. Everything the phone offers is great, and I've fallen in love with the design and the way of use that it provides. I have adapted instantly to the battery, and the cameras were beyond my expectation.
I agree with the 1st comment. You wouldn't think a thick square would be more portable than a thin rectangle but it is! Especially for women's clothes (small pockets). Being a nerd I have a lot of tech, but the only 2 people comment on is my Z Flip and a tiny, cheap, Lenovo Chromebook. Small cute things draw people has they just look like fun vs. serious.

I was going to go with the s24 ultra but then i last minute decided to get this because of purse and pocket space. I do not regret it. If this phone holds up over the years i will forever love it.
Once u drop it u will regret , i drop my flip 5 about 60cm high while unfolded and got 0.5cm black line after just one drop and I just use it like 3months, I'm considering to buy a strap case 😢
@leejiaxin0305 I've had mine for about 4 months and have dropped it plenty and it's fine. I have a strap case I got on Amazon no issues

I'm an experienced professional artist and photographer and my flip 5 is the my favorite Samsung device ( warts n all ) since my Note 20 ultra which I still have
This phone is really fun to use. I just hope the cameras get upgraded they're not bad it's just coming from a normal style phone. Those camera sensors are bigger, which can produce better shots

Out of all the other things I like in your video was that the phone can be used in"fold" or " flex?" mode where you would have a keyboard ⌨️ for typing and still seeing on your screen the input 🔣🔠 for say, Windows documents,etc. Like a mini laptop 💻😊

I love mine. Battery and camera are more than enough for me. It's so compact and i love watching stuff while the phone is flexed and acts as its own stand. Also it's simply the best for gym workouts. Thank you Samsung for this innovative piece of tech.

This phone was the most fun and awsome to get used to for me, got it for a while now and the nostalgia had me hooked right away. Great piece of technology.
I bend phones a lot. I tint cars so constantly putting pressure on phones that aren't foldable in my pocket. This is a money saver for sure in my case. Super business friendly. Can schedule ppl without opening the phone. Best phone on the market in my opinion.

I got it because my phone was giving me carpal tunnel and my squirrel brain needed less things to draw me in whenevr i answered the phone or replied to a text (i hardly have to open the thing, the way i use it). Basically just a texting machine with an optional GPS and camera for me. Crazy to think how thats ... uncommon lol
Short of this, i was legitimately considering getting a "dumb phone" and a designated Garmin to compensate lol

I liked the flexibility of this phone - the way you can use this in flex mode or as its own camera stand.
One of my favorite phones was a thinner kikd of phone so i really like that ratio.fits better in hands
I own this phone after z fold 2, and you have 100% right its not for every one. Battery its not great, cameras the same and scrren ratio its ennoying when you play youtube. But its fun and good feel in hand
This is a phone that imo is meant to be used in conjunction with a big tablet (s9ultra etc). The tablet becomes the main device for home and work use then this is a small phone you throw in your pocket when you go somewhere (if you're out and constantly on your phone then you're not enjoying life imo).

It'll come down to what function you want from your phone in the end. The flip offers you what you get from the S24 mostly, where as the S24 will never give you what the flip can. It's a tough one lol

@@emmanueldeleon3074 it's maybe like 75% of the performance of the S24. But it does gain an advantage in how you can capture content, like using flex mode and the rear cameras for selfies.
It's a tough decision. If you care about camera output more than anything else I would go S24, but if you're interested in camera function and flexibility...Flip5

when your flip or fold phone screen fails, and it will. Samsung repair center will purposely scar the screen and then refuse to repair in warranty saying you damaged it. Great phone, great form factor. crappy unethical company that doesnt want to be held to the warranty they provide so cheats to avoid it.

thats imposible. samsung always has good warranty. My phone 3 months dead touchscreen, got replaced with whole new unit.

Your phones hinge is getting warn quickly because your not supposed to swing it open like you are or snap it close.

What a piece of shit. Flip 3. Flip 4 they tried to fit me into a flip5 yesterday. But they still have not fixed the screen cracking. Sorry but I don't have time to send my phone in every 7 to 9 months for a new one. So all those features are not worth a shit when the basic features of the phone have not been addressed. Like the Flip. Screen Crack. Ect. Hinge. On and on. Take it off the market. Thanks for listening to my rant.
The Motorola razr 40 ultra is the overall better Deal. Better external display with more options, higher heart count on the outside and inside display. “Dex-like” function, much more functional, visually higher quality. Unfortunately, there is also poorer update support. The bottom line is that it is still the (technically) better device. Camera is also great and by no means worse in everyday use. But it could definitely be better with Moto and Samsung!
Actually the external displays on Moto is smaller since the bezel on the top is too large. I compared it side by side. But design moto wins
@@TomTomdogMoto outer screen feels bigger because of the width. Zflip5 is so narrow on the outside and inside. I have both and going back to the Moto. I just wish the ram management was better on the Moto. Also I love taking pictures with portrait mode in ultra wide angle on the outside screen.

How about taking a phone call when the phone is folded ?? 🤔🤔🤔 It straight way goes to the speaker... because of that many of my family member rejected the phone. What is the point of having a foldable phone where one can't take phone call in privacy 🤔🤔 That too they are asking a premium price.

I don't believe in the long term durability of these phones, love the concept but this is a ri h man's phone, where you just have money to burn and can just replace at a whim
My brother still has his flip 3 since launch in mint condition. He's dropped it a few times too (in a case). They're better than you think as long as you don't throw it around Willy nilly.

@@eddieknight2202I was sceptical as well. This thing dispelled all of my doubts. It's a solid phone and the hinge is really durable. They did a test on CZcams and the thing finally gave out after being folded like 600k times!

The z flip 5 is trash and everyone will see it eventually. I have had mine since right after launch in a tpu soft shell case right out of the box and dropped it for the first time today, causing the whole bottom half to turn green.
