The Border Collie is designed to be a sheepdog and was originally used for herding livestock in the English and Scottish Borders. Border Collie Rescue assesses all dogs coming into our care for herding ability and will rehome them as stockdogs if that is what they need to do but we also assess and rehome for scent discrimination skills to the Police, Prison Service and Excise to detect drugs, explosives and firearms -- to SARDA and other rescue organisations for mountain rescue and search and rescue work -- to help deaf, blind or otherwise disabled people as well as for working trials, flyball, agility, obedience and other interactive sporting disciplines and many of our dogs have qualified for Crufts in these disciplines. Those that show us they do not need or want to work are rehomed as PAT dogs, pets and companions.
Awesome, Keep 'm coming...If it's not a Border Collie, it's just a dog.
I am very pleased with my little "Bonnie". She shows all the qualities of a Border Collie. And she is a good watchdog also. My wife and I sleep well. Bonnie is on duty around the clock.
Without doubt, the most informative series of films around!....DON'T get a Border Collie until you have watched this!..... They deserve to be treated with Respect.
I'm very lucky to own two :)
Best explanation I've seen! No one ever believes me when I tell them mine aren't motivated by food. Jess also looks so much like my dear departed Casey.
They are an amazing breed.
I STILL use this as the go-to for potential adopters for the BC's I foster!!
Can't get enough of this. Please make more and keep up the good work
Spot on, Border Collies are special! Loved this.
this 3 part series breaks me up, every time I see it. I think of my first boy who passed away a few years ago. The series is really nice. Everyone can't be a sheep farmer, but borders just love to be your pal no matter what you do in life. You just have to spend good quality time with them, working them out alot. Me and my boy are inseparable, and spend everyday, all day with each other. Borders can be intense all hours of the day, any weather, but you love them intensely for that quality, or you don't understand them. They are not just a dog, they really are a Border Collie.
just like mine , chases anything that moves :)
Wonderful animals. The best.
Phenomenal video. Thank you so much...

Mine chases light. He's become fascinated with shadows in our new house. He watches them and then watches me trying to figure out what makes them work.
