As a person who doesn't want children, it makes my heart break seeing how badly Adrienne wants a child of her own. I don't know that feeling but I cannot imagine having such passion for something and not being able to obtain it(for now of course❤️!!!!).

Infertility treatment is so expensive, you would think that they would do their job correctly. I’ve never heard Adrienne talk about her IVF journey, hope she shares more!

I’m glad they found out sooner rather than later. The only positive is that it happened to both of them so they could switch the babies back. I read that they plan to stay in touch as the kids grow up.
I was thinking that. It would be nice if the mothers could get together and see each of the children. I think it would make the transaction a bit easier.

There is nothing wrong with carrying the egg of someone else - *IF IT IS YOUR CHOICE and both parties have given CONSENT.* I’m not talking about egg donation here or surrogacy - that is completely different. What these ladies are discussing here is medical malpractice and and human error (very serious), that could result in a lawsuit. 🤭😬
@@sammierose1150 I would be mad because I know that I did everything in my power to give birth to a healthy baby, but I have no idea what kind of lifestyle the other parent lives. You also miss out on bonding with the baby while they are in the womb, but yes, the right decision is to switch them back and make sure both babies are healthy.
I like that Adrienne is opening up about her IVF journey. It is way more common than we discuss. Having a platform and being able to share tidbits of your story - she never knows what new fan base she could reach and be connected to or help. Pregnancy loss, infant loss, fertility issues etc I feel aren’t discussed enough out of shame when in reality it is something worth Sharing amongst women. I like that garcelle is there as someone who went through it alongside Adrienne to make her feel more comfortable about it.

@@CrystalM1917 Age is always a factor unfortunately. If you're 35 and over it's considered high pregnancies. There's more risk for autism, gestational diabetes, and other issues for mom and baby. This doesn't mean you can't have a baby naturally or without complications but as we get older more things can affect our fertility and/or our ability to have healthy pregnancies.

The way Adrienne and Jeannie were talking about who they would want their kids to look like, I really hope Adrienne is blessed with a child soon. IVF is not easy I have seen a lot of couples who struggled, it doesn't always work right away and its expensive I think Jeannie said its like $8,000 or more. It is what makes this story even more heartbreaking because you hear these ladies talk about bonding with a child growing inside of you, your dreams and wishes and then you learn you were carrying someone else's child. Fortunately it worked out for both these couples because the what ifs is just tragic to think about. They are right you can't put a price on this but someone needs to pay for being so reckless.

I commend and admire Adrienne for sharing such a personal thing as going through IVF. Infertility is so difficult and can be very lonely as well. I hope by her opening up she realizes that she isn't alone on that journey. Many women esp feel ashamed but there is no reason to bc it's not your fault.
Adrienne said she's been through IVF twice, but for some it takes years. Steph Curry's sister & her husband have the Best video of her telling him. I think it took them 2.5 years. HIs reaction as well as their families is awesome, but her husband's tears of joy were the best. People don't realize IVF takes a toll on your body on a rollercoaster journey emotionally & physically. I believe they'll get there. 💖

We went through IVF for years and told no one besides very close family. I totally get the privacy especially when it doesn't work. I don't think when you do IVF you are prepared for if it doesn't work. I had surgeries, miscarriages, multiple rounds of IVF and no baby. It's devastating and heartbreaking.

Adrienne if you read this make sure you get your vitamin d levels up!! I'm talking 60ng/dl. This has been shown to increase IVF success. And not all fertility clinics stress this in their protocols. I'm sure you went with a renowned clinic like CHR in New York and they are excellent. Good luck honey.❤

I’m glad they switched, something similar happened in South Africa, two mothers went home with each other’s baby because the nurses made a mistake. Now once the mothers found out, they decided to keep the baby they went home with. The sad part was one family was rich while the other family was poor. One of those kids was robbed of a good life, it’s heartbreaking
Yeah, but the other kid was blessed with that good life.
I recently watched this documentary
. The one who grew up with a poor life has struggled emotionally and seemed to not be handling the situation well as a teen but I see where it has built his character. He has so much depth as a human being, his struggle has built him but overall it is just a sad situation.
A movie, with Justina Machado, has been made about this.

That actually happened some time ago with a white and black couple over in England. White couple had the black couple's baby but the black couple didn't get pregnant with the white couple's baby. The white couple didn't want to give the baby to the bio parents so it actually went to court and made headlines. They even made a documentary about the mix-up. Ultimately, the court ruled in favor of the bio parents and they got their baby back. The rights of the bio parents trumps the rights of the birth parents.

As someone who is currently pregnant with there ivf baby.. this is so scary. This was our biggest fear and the reason why we hesitated for so long to do ivf 😳 good thing from our ultrasound the baby definitely looks like us so far.
I’m imagining how complicated a situation like this could get if a switch-back was attempted. Different social security numbers? Cultural differences? That’s so crazy.

Adrienne’s right - I was a fraternal twin surrogate and they made sure my wristband matched the embryos of my intended parents and they double checked it on the screen before they did the transfer.
Also, I saw another story in a show where this happened and they did switch babies back but they ended up staying friends so they could be in both childrens’ lives

This is literally the plot of a Bollywood movie.
It's a comedy, but it does ask all the difficult questions, what makes the baby yours?, is it the genes or the fact that it grew inside you and came out of you or more importantly is it that you LOVED the baby.
I love all these ladies together. It is a great diverse group of women from all walks of life. I absolutely love this show now 💕

If both kids are still infants, you may be able to switch. Definitely seek legal remediation. If the child can't be reasonably switched, keep the child. Children are a gift. They don't have to look like you to be special.

When i went to the get my lasik eye surgery, they put little stickers on each of my shoulders w my name and eye prescription so that the surgeon gives me the correct prescription during the procedure & the nurse ALMOST put the wrong stickers on me… luckily we caught it beforehand. There was another “Gabriela” on surgery Day as me. i was like, “wait this isn’t me, different last name.” But omg imagine we didn’t catch it and they preformed the procedure 😬

There's this TV show called "switched at both" that I watched. Awesome show. Exist the mom chose to not say anything since the other family was financially stable and she already loved the baby she had. Crazy but amazing show.

I could not imagine the pain and confusion but if those two families are now friends and becoming family, found a connection through such a mistake that is a beautiful outcome.
This is terrible mistake but at least it was discovered at 3 months versus years later. I think it was blessing disguise that they lived a few minutes away; from each other.

Happened to a family in Australia but after birth . Rich mom kept the baby she raised but her son with the poorer mother is forced to visit her . So sad bc the rich mom didn’t want to switch

Adrienne before having sex try taking a mucinex pill because sometimes having too much mucus down there can sometimes create a barrier when having sex so by taking a mucinex it can aid in getting pregnant!! Edit: like so she can see!
