just got mine last week, if i did this myself i would loose the warranty , so you better ask in your dealership if you can do it yourself. i just hate one thing about this motorcycle... the first 1600 km you have to do at different rpm , no one ever talk about it at the reviews, cant wait until i can really push for it, but so far am really happy and amazed with what this motorcycle can deliver... i have so far 960 km done so i can only go till 7000 rpm :) i do recommend it :)

What was the size of the star (torx) key/bit you used to open the inside 'Star bolt'?
Also what did you do about the service interval indicator?
Did you also adjust the drive chain, I think its your first service.
I have a 2013 Diablo Red too, bought it after viewing your reviews.

Hey there: liked the video for oil change: `
it seems you master the Art of dismanteling fairing:
i just got 2nd hand 2013 dayto 675 R: need to access cooling fluid right side fairing: it seems i need to remove also the fairing next to fork accessing also all the head lights: i dont know how to: `additonaly she is fully carbon set up so fragile:
already broke some clips on back fairing and cant repair so would like to avoid also on front fairing:
    can u help please.........

So removing the fairing is relatively simple, pretty much all the parts separating the black part from the red ignore, remove the top panel and there should be screws. For the head light, I've never completely removed the head unit most I did was change the bulb, I'd imagine removing it completely would require so disconnects of the main dash and for me that's a bit further than I've had to go

Thank you for your feedback. May I ask how much you bought your bike for? This way I'll know if a dealer is trying to rip me off or not, thank you.

I find it easier to just remove the whole fairing there's no fiddly bolts to get to and it just fits back on even easier than it comes off!

    • @kenshin90991

my kit has the bit for a screwdriver so I ended up using a pair of needle nose pliers to grip the bit and turned, mine wasnt that tight

***** i was able to get that removed but then i realized there is also another inside hex bolt that holds the black piece of the fairing to the mid fairing. any suggestions on getting that off?

ah the one near the front wheel, that one I used a basic allen key + some crazy hand work through the area near the headers

ditch the chain wrench buy oil filter pliers they look like Chanel locks but have deep teeth to bite on the filter
