Juan Contreras Lento is the Funeral of Hicks and Newt and the birth of the Dragon. Adagio is when Ripley refuses to give in to Bishop’s lies and sacrifices herself.
I think what I liked about this film was the core idea. A band of rapists, murderers and child-molesters all in a deep-space prison, being thrown into a position where they're given a choice, die in pity and despair, or die saving human civilization, the very civilization that incarcerated them in the first place. And the only person that sways them in the end is Ripley, who, much like the prisoners no longer fights for any personal gain, but out of a sense of devotion to life itself. I think that's what makes this film so powerful for me. It's a story about finding a will to act with heroism and courage, even in the absence of any fathomable reward. I mean think about it, the sadism and violence behind the crimes that landed these prisoners on Fiorina are worthy of the Alien itself. The fact they fought to the death implies these men changed, and in their final moments - became heroes.
"And the only person that sways them in the end is Ripley" And Dillon*** Ripley wouldn't have swayed them without him. "You're all gonna die. Only question is how you check out. Do you want it on your feet? Or on your fucking knees, begging? I ain't much for begging. Nobody ever gave me nothing! So I say fuck that thing! Let's fight it!"
@@justsomeguywithagoatee8337 I love the performances from the main cast in this: Ripley, Dillon, Clemens, Morse and Bishop II. David Fincher should be proud of this film. Dutton steals every damn scene he's in), the cinematography was bold and dynamic, the set direction was nothing short of awe-inspiring and the story had its heart in the right place. After learning Houston's restaurant in North Dallas has permanently closed, at 4:26 (where Newt and Hicks' bodies are dropped) of this track, played in my head.
Der Score erinnert extrem an "Interview with a Vampire".
I’ve seen the alien series 100s of time 2,3,1,4 that’s the line up a lot of people don’t like 3 but I think it’s so good cause it ended the way it was supposed to.

All these spin offs that try to damage the lore. Alien 3 is a true sequel to Alien, with the gothic mystery. I Iove the directors cut, although i wish he’d left in the chest burst at the end. The fall into the furnace is too short compared to the theatrical version; and the baby queen emerging with ripley slightly brings a tear to my eye.
not only that, but I think hearing the dog from the Theatrical Version was more heartbreaking, as the poor animal was whimpering in pain just before the chestburster came out
I don't think Fincher hates this film he was pissed off with the studio
Oh he does hate it. He’s even quoted saying no one hates the film more then he does.
And I don’t hate Alien 3. I do think there is a potentially great film trying to burst out of a mess of a film.
I blame 20th Century Fox. Not David Fincher, who is one of my favourite directors. And I prefer watching this over Alien Resurrection.
1:48 Daaaaaangggg it's awesome
💚🙏
brilliant - beyond compare
After learning Houston's restaurant in North Dallas has permanently closed, at 4:26 (where Newt and Hicks' bodies are dropped) of this track, played in my head.
Masterpiece!
1:48 they may use the furnace but I want everyone back in lock up at 0800 hours!
Epic🔝🙏❤
"Why!? Why are the innocent punished?"
Amazing movie!!!! Amazing Music!!! Fuck haters...
Der Score erinnert extrem an "Interview with a Vampire".
Hicks deserved a more glorious death and Newt deserved a chance to live having survived Hadley's Hope....
Голова играет неплохо,
I’ve seen the alien series 100s of time 2,3,1,4 that’s the line up a lot of people don’t like 3 but I think it’s so good cause it ended the way it was supposed to.
If you love this soundtrack you should check out Goldenthal's work on Final Fantasy Spirits Within. It's a bit derivative of Alien 3, but definitely worth listening to as well.
The Funeral scene use the song Adagio (Track N°14) ;)
Does anyone know any other movies with similar dark choir music?
