Its not 1st april, this is no joke, you can play as stalker finally in warframe, but sadly, not as much as we all would like.

He simply can be like umbra being able to act on his own
I was thinking the same thing. Umbra proves some frames can have a consciousness of their own.
That's what I've always thought, he is a tenno. I feel like the part of the second dream where hunhow says something like "are you thinking, was I like one of these pitiful things" To me it feels like he's talking about the drifter
Umbra is one of a kind
Would be nice to have him for origin system stuff, cause otherwise I'm just cosplaying in-game. I've made my normal Excalibur the exact same colors with the stalker armor.
Not only a one of kind, but a miracle. Imagine being turned into a warframe, you would think you'll lose consciousness and all of which what makes you who you were before.
Heads up his mark ability is not marked for death. It functions differently, dealing only the killing blow as damage. Mark combos with his teleport dealing the finisher damage to everything within 18 meters with no fall off. His 4 can be activated early by hitiing 4 again and his 3 can be used during the 4 to gain a stealth bonus for the blades he launches.
I didnt expect to lear this from someone versed in the Vorem Impsum
There has to be a story quest about the Stalker. Needs a backstory and knowing the unknown Tenno who is controlling him. Also playing as him in the story. They needed to do a rework for abilities. Since he is basically a dark version of Excalibur with multiple powers.
They do have more plans for Stalker this year, it's a Tennocon "thing"
My theory is Shadow Stalker is the Warframe that will be playable and and moddable outside Duviri.
Also thinking Shadow Stalker will have a more flushed out ability list that's not a cut/paste. It'll come after a "Stalker Quest" and he will be tied to a "Hunhow Syndicate" upon completion. That's what I'm thinking they're planning.

@mrrain2105 I'm of the belief he's not being controlled by a "Tenno" I'm thinking Stalker and the Low Guardians who became the Acolytes infected themselves with the same Strain as Umbra where the failure of the The Collapse is seered into there minds.
It's like Warframes version of 47 Ronin.
His passive is amazing too. 300% crit chance on unaware enemies. Bow’s, Kunai and melee for the win!
Edit: his knockdown resistance is because he has a max Primed Surefooted on.
On his 4 if you activate it again it will trigger it without waiting. Also you can enter invisibility before the ability ends.
If they ever do add him out of duviri most likely he will have his own questline similar to umbra and you might even get those maxed arcanes which won't be tradeable and you might just get that maxed build too

The way I’ve been playing stalker is use his 3 for invis to trigger his passive then mark an enemy and finish off by fatal teleport to watch everyone go boom
0:35 well not necessarily Sentients and Orokin could also be warframe operators... and it's pretty clear that Hunhow is Stalkers operator
I wonder if we will ever be able to use Stalker in regular gameplay(I want that 4th ability)
My headcanon is that the Stalker got his hands on a bit of helminth super serum and dosed himself to transform into a warframe. He was never tortured into obedience by the Orokin, also he retains his own mind.

Not all warframes need tenno the lore says that much also warframes we're living beings at some point so its not unlikely for stalker to break away from his tenno plus are own warframe was able to move before we actually find are operator

I don't think the stalker is controlled by a tenno seeing how Excalibur umbra was able to control himself. I think the tenno is just able to connect to him.

Stalker is mid as in just okay, also wish he had slash dash like normal stalker insted of mark for death but mark is thematic
