One of your best videos, so many things you don't think about when panic mode sets in. Great job taking about safety.
Thanks to your fireman safety guy
Maybe show a demo of what you do when someone gets hurt or needs help. Your guys work by themselfs and out of site of each other for a short time. Safety is number 1 on the job.
That 635 is a beast Tim, but I think the operator is one cool cookie, that Chad can make her dance:)
Toward the end of the video you talked about farm accidents. For your viewers if you have a farm or any other type of equipment. Get someone out there that knows the equipment. I know of accident with a silage unloader. It took them several hours using the Hurst tool and other equipment to free the trapped farmer. After they freed the farmer they called the dealer that sold them the equipment and explained what had happened. They needed to get the unloader up running. When the mechanic got there they told him how long it took them to free the man. He shook his head in disbelief and told them, "I could have had him out of there in 15 minutes without destroying the equipment." It doesn't matter what the equipment is--skidder (I use to drive a cable skidder), feller bunchier, combine or anything, know who sells and services the equipment. Have their number in your phone. If one of your crew is your mechanic make sure they know what's going. I would also suggest you have everyone on your crew take a first aid course so the understand the basics. That way when they call 911 they have a better idea of what to tell the operator.
Thats great information
My hat off to all fire fighters.and a very nice video. Mr tim
Man you are getting some great videos out there. As a retired volunteer firefighter and ambulance driver that is some good stuff for people to know. Have heard about people said they was alive before we move that off them. Another great video Tim. Stay safe and God bless you'll.
Tim, thank you for promoting safety. Me being a volunteer firefighter in a rural area, thanks you tremendously. I wish everyone in my area watched this video, because there was a lot of very good/important information in this video. Keep it up!
Great info Tim i lost a buddy of mine who was accidentally ran over by a skidder and crushed be safe and have a blessed day !
Good boss to be able to keep up a running commentary AND see potential problems like the stick in the articulating joint, and many other examples you have given. Nice!
Great video Tim, I like Michael and his safety talk's..Have a great day out there..
One of your best videos-------even learned something--just when I thought I was to old ! thanks Tim
Good information that most people don’t know.
Tim believe it or not buddy some of the best music come from your channel........ 635 screaming...... 372 rippn and them Pete's pipes a jake braken 🎸😎
Tim Good video Mikes information was great and very well presented Thanks to both of you
Good on you for sharing that Tim. If the goal of your channel is to educate, you definitely hit the mark.
Chad is getting the most timber in one pull is very impressive, the safety part of the video is very interesting information
That’s a life saving video Tim thanks for sharing to your viewers
That is without doubt one of your best videos Tim. Informative and just listen to that 635 !
great video with great content Tim, thanks for sharing. 🌲💪🌳👍
Man that 635D gets my adrenaline pumping . Love that beast !
Great video Tim man that chunk of wood that was stuck in there would cost you a few bucks, Those Tiger Cats and operators love to show off lol I know there just getting the job done. Keep up the good work and be safe out there.
GOOD STUFF, great skidder vid and even better safety information It would be a great service to all of your watchers if you showed all of your safety meetings, a lot of small operations don't have access to good safety information and or timely reminders.
Good stuff, on two fronts. Obviously, we like to see equipment working (we would not be here!). But, safety information is very important for those working in high risk settings. I did not know the timing info. The human body is a very intricate piece of gear, and how it responds to injury is valuable insight.
Great video I operate one of this 635d is. A very good machine greetings from chile
I wish I had this information 49 years ago.
Thank you Tim for that very informative video. We all can use that medical advice that was shared with us today. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for the safety tip.
I've worked in industry for 20 years, been to countless safety meetings and first aid training. I've never heard that before thank you for sharing that is very useful information. A stand alone video from him about how to handle amputations, burns, dealing with serious broken bones would be nice I've heard a lot about this stuff but not everyone gets a chance for first aid training.
Appreciate the safety info Tim. Very informative & I know it will save someone's life one day. 👍👍
Very awesome video, great information u give. Keep up the good work and be safe
Thanks for the information Tim. Very informative. Great video
I had a junk of wood just like the one you showed in the video push off a hose clamp on my tractor a while ago.. but the hose didn't come loose so i was lucky on that!
hey tim you need to send your brother over to teach logger wade how to run his hydroaxe
Great video. Very informative I learned some things that were helpful thank you.
Amazes me how steep wouldn't think it would be that steep down south good video
Awesome video Tim. Great footage of Chad and Derrek. I really like watching the equipment run. Like a lot of people I’m sure. I had no idea about what to do when someone is crushed. Great information Tim. Thanks.
I know this for sure though. That is a mighty fine spot for a stand....
hello there Tim. great video as always. stay safe out there and take care buddy.
thank you for that great information .ive never heard that before thanks again
Tim thanks for giving the information on being crush. I have learn something new today. Great video of the equipment. Have a great day and be safe
Great video, safety talk was very informative, I don't know how many safety meetings I went to where the talk had nothing to do with the work we did or the conditions we worked in.
I'm bout to be logging and I've been watching your videos a lot of good information
He is good with that machine
Very cool Video
Best safety info I receive in a while
great vid kudos for the info
Great video Tim thanks for sharing have a great day
Wow, that Tigercat is amazing.
Chad probably needed to change his drawers after you hit the side of the skidder with that stick! Good stuff those machines are something else. That 635 sounds angry! I appreciate the safety lesson. I was fortunate that I never had a serious injury in the 45 years I worked on vehicles. I did see some pretty bad stuff because people were trying to take shortcuts or doing something they weren't trained to do. Great video.
Awesome video thank you for the safety information. I am around farming all the time and I didn't know about what you should do or not do . Hope you are having a good weekend thank you for sharing with us
Good info great video 👍
I did not know that about a crush injury, thanks for passing along the information!
No stopping the tigercat what a mad machine Cummins power the drop looks deep no problem for the tigercat with the dual tires
Excellent!
Great stuff enjoyed that!!!
It’d be a great still shot of the 635 at around 8.40, the yellow sure pinged against the soil colour backdrop.
Thanks for the crush refresher, I’d forgotten about the potassium problem.
Thanks for the video very informative!
Mannnn yall some baddddd boys when it come to logging and thzys for sure
Thank you sir, that's great and needful information
I don't know how derick can keep Chad busy on that 635 all day every day
That skidded must have power
Great tips
Thats impressive
That’s some good stuff. Any chance you get to learn about something take advantage of it. Like you said it can save someone’s life Great video and some awesome logging footage
Well I definitely learned something with ya today hope I never need it great video Tim Napa mike
You cant get enugh safty you put out a good vid tks gary
Nice sound!!!! Arent you allowed to use chains in the forrest or whats the reson you go whitout
TIGER Power
I am a Forklift operator and my coworkers tell me why do you honk your horn all the time and I tell them I have too
wonder if that stick of wood got stuck in his duels or not lol 1:10
Now my pants are tight again.... Damn 635
Logging like farming can be done in a safe manner. It is the short cut that will get you. When I was young and dumb, I installed vents on tall grain bins without any harness. I have broken the crust of grain in a bin without a harness as well. Both of those are stupid and both have killed people. It always will happen to the other guy.
I'm surprised that jdeer hasn't made anything to compete with that 635 T.C yet unless T.C has an holds the Patten on that 6 wheel 635
Tim, does the new 830 tigercat track cutter level about the same as your old one or is there any difference in the leveling on the cab.
Timber will thin it's self. Timber will only grow as much as the land will support.
Good eye little shake on the cage or down time later when you break a hydraulic line or tear a seal.
My uncle died driving a log truck. Truck rolled over, tossed him and landed on his lower half. Family had enough time to come speak with him before they got the truck off of him. I reckon they didn’t have them good methods then! Good while ago though!
Damn. ya'll work some steep and rough ground.
Do the vines kill the trees
Two years later the machines are worn out from overloading & he quits logging
he duse a good job cutting those trees almost no stump visable and cut to the conture of the ground
Maybe you need a handheld radio when you are out filming so you can call Chad or your crew rather than throw sticks at them. Probably be a bit safer for you as well (though they would also likely troll you when you are filming).
Good Morning to you Mr. Tim,
I am curious about that track cutter, after it grabs and cuts a tree you can carry it over to a stack some distance away and lay it on a pile.
My question is...Is that track cutter strong enough to pick a tree that's laying on the ground horizontally and stand it back up to a vertical position?
Just curious if it could do it, I don't know why you would do that but it would be interesting to see.
I hope you all have an awesome day! Stay safe and I can't wait for the next episode.😊
Yes to both your questions.
@@cotontop3 Thank you Mr. Tim, I would also like to thank you and that gentlemen that gave us safety information on crush injuries. I pray I never need that information, but now I know how to handle that tragedy properly God forbid I come across it.
God Bless and be safe!
Pick em and laying them down
Would you say the duals on the back of the 635d have helped with the increase of truck loads recently Tim?
No.
It’s all about the timber that is on the tract you are on.
@@cotontop3 Thanks for the reply
How many gallons of fuel ya figure burnin for 25 loads?
Silly question for you, Tim. How does Derrick know where to stop cutting? Is he working off a GPS signal, or are there landmarks to tell him where the boundaries of the timber tract are? Thanks for the footage and the safety briefing.
Mostly all done with gps now.
cotontop3 any possibility of that making its way into a video! Would be interested on how that works!
Do most loggers not use stump grinders to get them below grade for easier skidding, ect.
No logger does that
A regular 4 wheel skidder wouldn't pull a load up that hill.
Not that impressed. I got a 1959 Farm-All can do the same thang.....
(that's a joke trolls)
