98/99 felt like it promised much, but delivered bare minimum. Losing Dion was a blow, early on, but he was barely breaking a sweat as it was obvious he wanted to leave.
We finished 11th the season before, which in my limited time watching us play, was amazing. The season after, 99-00: I honestly still believe, that we would have been top 8 if Strachan hadn’t employed such horrendously negative and ineffective tactics away from home. 0 wins all season, but a whopping 14 at HR. 🤷‍♂️
