If you want it, Make it! Thanks for Watching!
Marvellous Makeup table !
Nice touch, what a great treatment of family history.
Thanks
I can sometimes hear my grandfather laugh at my woodworking. Or see the look on my father's face when I attempt something. Family is really the only reason to work wood.
Nice project Shawn! Thanks for sharing the video.😎👍JP
Looks very nice!👍
Lovely Makeover brother 👍👍👍
Thanks
Nice video. Nice work Shawn.
Thank you
A great project for your wife and paying respect to your grandmother.
Thank you!
Shawn love the way you disassembled this. It looks like the glue joints came apart pretty cleanly. Do you think that's because the glues they used back then weren't as good as they are today? Looks like something to be handed down to the next generation. Better than seeing things like this hit the landfill.
Thanks, Gary. Yeah, I'm guessing it wasn't titebond. lol. Hopefully it will be handed down for years to come. :)
Looks good. I'm always hesitant to disassemble pieces like this for fear of breaking something
Yeah, I was worried a little. It all worked out.
Found your channel from cotontop3. This was impressive and your making some good content thanks. New sub.
Thanks! Glad to have you here.
Looks great!
What a beautiful way to maintain a family "heirloom" and to keep in in use for your wife.
Shawn, this is a great project. In my opinion, this is your best video yet. The finished piece looked great.
Wow, really? Thank you. I appreciate it.
Very nice job and excellent video. Sorry to hear you don't even play a professional paint sprayer on TV. Who know's what the future will hold. Thanks for the video.
Haha. thanks
Nice
Thanks!
Shawn that looks fantastic. Great job.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, Roy.
Nicely done Shawn! 👍👊
Thanks Fred
Love the project
Thanks!
Wait, i thought you were building a vanity lol i tell you man a few hundred bucks worth of cherry gets “repurposed “ and folks just give up 😂.
In all seriousness though man, good job! You’ll get the hang of spraying in no time and wonder why you ever did it any other way.
Great way to keep the pieces in the family. Hopefully my daughters will get to refinish the one i built when I’m dead and gone....
Lol. Thanks man. It makes it even more special having something from within the family.
I have the same sprayer can you share what tip you used, I believe it came with two
Out of the two tips that came with the sprayer, I used the larger one.
I just bought that sprayer. Did you water the paint down? What paint did you use?
I watered it down a little. Just a latex paint.
@@StoneandSonsWorkshop thanks. I've looked all over for a ratio. The manual doesn't cover it.
Good video. But you need to quit talking like the mid 1900's were ancient history. I was born in the 1950's and I don't feel ancient...yet. I have my Grandfather's highchair from 1904. My kids used it in the 1990's but I have kept it in the original finish. Just added some tung oil. Got my great-grandmother's Bible from the 1870's Its good to see someone with an appreciation of the things from our pasts.
HAHA. I know. It did sound that way, but honestly I don't know if it was from 1900, 1920, 1950... that's why I said 1900's. I mean technically I was born in the 1900's. Lol. Thanks!!
