  • This solid silver flask was hand made in 1900 by James Dixon & Sons Silversmiths. It's even got the British tax stamps to prove it!
After nearly 120 years of faithful service, it's time to refurbish the catch mechanism under the lid of the flask, and replace the worn out cork for good measure. Follow along with us at the bench while we make sure this flask will survive another 120 years of faithful service.

Thank you so much for posting this video! I have a 2 1/2 gills sterling silver Tiffany&Co flask, that was my grandfathers from WWII. The cork has finally given way and I freaked out!
Now I feel confident in replacing the cork myself.
    Thanks again!

I live in sheffield and I have just inherited my late Grandfathers flask, which is the exact same as this but has a more modern material on the inside of the lid, instead of cork.

Hello All, I have just bought a German AHS silver plated hammered flask from before 1945, it says its tin lined. I'm wondering, should I be worried about a lead solder joint being used around this time, for this type of item, and in Europe? I'm not super knowledgeable in this area, so any advices would be much appreciated!

About how much could a repair cost to fix a seam of a hundred year old 950 hammered flask. Approximately 1/2 " separation in seam.?

Easy silver never rusts. If there is rust, then it was a cheap flask.
