In this episode, I share with you my insane experience vlogging this out of this world 1400HP Ford Barra Falcon G6E FGX. An extremely unique example that is extensively fine tuned in all characteristics, it is truly a one of a kind experience. The most powerful car I have EVER been in.

That's because in Australia if you put a car sticker on your car the police will defect you.
NZ anything over 40kph over the speed limit instant 28 day suspension but loads of cops are actually chill went past one doing 20kph over he flashed his high beams and that was it

Most of our street cars are basically built sleepers cause we have to hide everything to keep the stock look. Since police will constslantly pull you over for anything they hear, see or don't like.. and will take any chance to defect and tow

It wouldn't be as quiet as you think most likely would be running at least a 4" pipe gives them a bit of a rumble. It is hard to keep that much hp quiet.

Awesome Falcon, I personally knew people that were in Ford's Australian engineering department, from the design, right through until the mass production of these 6 bangers. I am still friends with a woman who worked right up until closure, they absolutely loved the Barra motors, and she is in her mid 50's and still follows all the high performance upgrades with them.

Yes my slightly modified xr6 turbo ute doesn't hook up as good as that and i don't have anywhere near as much power.

To all the young fella's out there that are contemplating starting a custom shop or whatever - get an affordable factory unit and install a CNC mill / lathe / plasma cutter / printer setup and get into it, if that's what you feel you want to do - to take control of your future while you still can, instead of leaving it in the hands of some shitbag politicians who couldn't organise a shag in a brothel with a fistful of fifties.

Front looks like a fusion, back looks like a Jaguar f type, this one seems to take the best of both cars. A sick build, outside looks nearly stock but underneath it sure ain’t! Sick build at any rate

impressive to be sure. Shame that from the video it is hard to appreciate exactly how fast it is, doesn't translate well to video., A few dragstrip runs would help put it into perspective OR just to see it accelerate from a stop from OUTside the car. Nice looking FG-X too!

I love my Falcons, Au all the way to FG-X and I personally feel the Barra from BA onward is the most dominant straight 6 out there at this point. I can't wait to get to the point I'm able to build and drive my own dream Falcon. It'll be my pride and joy

I got a ba futura standard with the barra ive wanted one for years and finally got one and love it all be it a little on the slow side in comparison. Nice vid and insanely nice car!

It reminds me of a Ford Fusion on steroids! Nice looking car and beautiful engine and modifications, wish we could have it in the States.
Check out hughs performance they are importing them and converting them into fox body mustangs
The FGX Falcon was the first Falcon to take on Ford's global design, so it looks a lot like a fusion/mondeo. I always liked the first Barra platform BA F6.
I wish you guys in the USA got it too, maybe it would still be produced.
@@craigdavies69 If Falcon was exported to the states, their taurus would get slaughtered in sales as it would be direct competitor or even mustang sales would suffer so Ford stopped development short of creating lhd version which was originaly planned for FG series
Makes me wonder if I can put the falcon engine in my fusion...
@@DIgitusSmartas if Australia was left hand drive like the US, it would have seen the Falcon exported to the US. Being Right hand drive it meant increased production costs to convert it.
Holden (Aussie Chev equivalent) found it tough to sell the Commodore as a Pontiac for similar reasons.

There was talk about ford Australia was to continue building bara engines as an option for an American ford. Only until they run out of engine blocks, they are cast iron and need to rest for a few years after manufacturing to be reliable and not break. That's why most engines now are made out of cast alloy, they can be a complete running engine just days after casting.

Staggered wheels, the rears are probably 275mm wide at least, more likely 295s. FGs have massive wheel arches that make fat tyres look skinny.
@@Russh1 not enough sidewall though, nowhere near enough for 1400hp even half that you want proper wheels and tyres
@@raynman6466 Side wall isn't too much help with roll ons anyway. Great for launches but once you're already at a speed, the footprint/tread pattern would probably be more important than side wall flex.

a magnificent build, one point with the money spent on getting it to go (1000kw) the owner could have had a stage 4 ZF 6spd built to handle that power level and then you have a really versatile car, you can use it in manual mode or let the box shift in auto mode

We need the barra in the US
You would love them. Not only you can easily beef them up to over 2500hp no problems even using the standard head . The engine is very reliable and cheap for parts. Put it this way Australia taxi had standard Ford falcons and they got over 1 million+ km before they even needed a rebuild. You can run them on Petrol and gas. It can be very hot or cold. Nothing will stop the barra engine. They are a mechanics nightmare. Engine oil change and see you next service. Mechanics can't make money of these engines. They are a big inline 6 engine 4.0l they come in 3 models. standard grey none turbocharged. Red engine turbocharged. And Blue engine high performance turbocharged. 6 speed auto with quick shifting gears or 6 speed manual transmission.

Because "Nitrous" in those bottles is actually basically Laughing Gas, extra power is achieved because it's introducing extra Oxygen, most system have 2 jets one for Gas and 1 for extra fuel.
