It’s not like this game was only an offensive shootout with bad defenses. These defenses were actually unreal, multiple strip sacks, pick 6’s, fumble 6’s, multiple defensive touchdowns. Both offenses were striking HUGE play after HUGE play. Rare game where everything was unbelievable
And they punted 7 times!! The rate of the game was insanely high!

The LA Coliseum may have run down as hell, but it was seriously a bad ass stadium that I’d love to see a team play in again. I get that there’s an appeal big fancy stadiums, but the old ones really have something special about them. I like the Coliseum better than SoFi if I’m being honest.

Oh yes! The old Coliseum is a grand old place. When the Rams came back, I was so happy that they played there until SoFi was built. I understand that we must accept the new, but there was always something special when The Rams or Trojans played there.

@@patguitare yeah it is almost like if the Packers replaced Lambeau, you shouldn’t get rid of history like that. These modern stadiums are really flashy, sometimes they blend together. The older ones had a lot of character, I think it would have been a smart idea to just upgrade what they already had instead of doing what they did. It’s a cool stadium, but it just is kinda like it’s trying too hard, idk how to explain it.

As a Rams fan, I’ll never forget this game. It was also after this game when I felt that a Kansas City Super Bowl victory was inevitable in the near future. If the Chiefs’ defense was even average in 2018 no team would have stopped them.
Yup. Much as I wanted to see these two in the Super Bowl again that season, I will say the loss to New England was the best thing to happen to them because it forced them to reevaluate their defense, fire their DC at the time Bob Sutton and hire Steve Spagnuolo. As much as Mahomes, Kelce and Reid rightfully get credit for the offensive side, Spagnuolo and Jones have been every bit as important on defense.
I had a similar feeling about your Rams after this game. I already knew they were good, but this showing is what made me certain that y'all were gonna take it home. Took a bit longer than I expected tho!

This was the greatest game I’ve ever seen. As a Chiefs fan, I wasn’t even mad about the loss, cause the game was that much of a treat to watch.

Man oh man. I was at this game live, and it’s still the greatest sporting event I’ve been to and find it hard to ever be topped.
2 elite offenses and surprisingly, there was a lot of great defensive plays made during the game that doesn’t get noticed cause of the final score.
Fun fact: every super bowl that has taken place since this game has featured either the Chiefs or the Rams

Absolutely! I was driving toward Los Angeles' Wilshire District (Korea Town now) to my mother-in-law's house to get some work done. I was listening to the radio broadcast on my way there and remembered the energetic sounds and roar of the crowd as the game went on. Needless to say, I didn't get a whole lot of work done that night!
I was at that game and it was unbelievable. Amazing, just amazing. Rams fanbase showed up!!!

I was there 4 rows up where Tyreek caught that TD. Greatest game I’ve ever seen. Grateful for that experience.
This game had EVERYTHING. Surpassed all the expectations and hype. High scoring with both offenses and both defenses scoring touchdowns. The stars on both teams showed up and left it all on the field.
The only football game pro or college that may match this is USC vs Texas Rose Bowl National Championship. This was the Superbowl that year as far as I'm concerned.

This is definitely one of the greatest games ever played, at the very least the most EXPLOSIVE. Good choice for the debut of this series as this is the game people of this generation will point to. (i'm a bit older so nah for me but I appreciate the greatness of teh game nonetheless)

It will be years before we see this again. The best part is- the high score isn't due to bad defense. The defense for both teams combined scored 3 touchdowns, and the game ended on an interception.

This game was so awesome. What's crazy is Cooper Kupp wasn't even in this game for the Rams and for the Chiefs this was Kareem Hunt's final game with the Chiefs. 5 years later and these 2 teams have been to every Super Bowl since (Rams in 53 and 56) Chiefs (54,55,57,58).

As a French, I don't get to watch many night games. 4-5 games tops, mainly if they involve Chicago, my favorite team.
I decided, months ago, to give it a try. The more the season went on, the more impatient I was getting. I was so impatient I almost feared it would be a dull game. I didn't see the time flying because it was so epic. A true boxing game, punches after punches, offensive plays after defensive plays. Both teams scored over 50 points and the stadium was sensational. I don't think I'll ever live such a game ever again. Only problem : it was just a regular season game. Otherwise, it would have been the greatest game ever. But the greatest regular season game ever is already quite the accomplishment.

This may be a little thing and weird but the game was made even greater with the field, this would look ugly ugly on turf but this looks beautiful ugly on grass that’s getting torn apart, seeing the grass on their jerseys just elite and under the lights at the coliseum, incredible
