- Debussy - Suite Bergamasque, L. 75 - IV. Passepied
Debussy - Passepied is in F♯ minor, marked allegretto ma non troppo. This movement is fast and light, with the left hand playing an almost continuous eighth-note accompaniment. It also includes the use of 3 against 4 polyrhythm. Because of this, I took a slightly slower tempo when attempting this piece, which caused less strain on the arms

Suuuper underrated and unknown piece. The first time I heard this, I actually thought this was some anime intro or smth 🤣🤣🤣
It is, in fact, used in Castlevania for Gameboy.
This piece is just underrated
Possibly an inspiration for the Final Fantasy battle theme.
FF4 specifically
One of my favorite songs, I’ve tried learning this but it’s too hard. You’re amazing!
Not really hard
@@user-mv1rr7th5i IT IS!
@@user-mv1rr7th5i It is
@@user-mv1rr7th5i way harder than it sounds

This was in Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge
I play piano for 8 years now and I'm currently learning this piece but holy moly it's hard ...but I'm determined to nail it✋
Couldn't stop until the end! Great work!

Thank you 🤩
love this piece! will learn it after clair de lune c;
1:05 the seamless page turn lol
😆
The first time I heard this piece was in the NES game Golf Grand Slam. Sounded kinda cheeky on the 2a03 sound chip, but lovely here on piano.
1 month later I almost have it down. Thought it would be 11/10 hard for me and it would take years but I'm so happy and proud of myself ^_^
This was used in Castlevania 2 for gameboy.
It's a tricky piece for beginners bc of constant left-hand arpeggio but I think it's a fun to play once you tackle it.
Your left hand looks so relaxed. I am currently playing this masterpiece but my left hand is really stiff and hurts after a time. So my question is whether your forearm is tense or not
It does not feel tense for me, I try to play as lightly as possible but it is probably also because I play this piece slower than others
The pizzicato helps to light the hand)?
@@alisacs_f.l1312 pizzicato?
@@BreadBoi-0 I guess he means staccato
@@alisacs_f.l1312 lmao pizzicato
i,ve been looking for this and found this!!
badass page turn 1:05
Had me confused at 2:13 but it's just the sheet music 😅
👏
😊
I like how at 0:38 you wash it in pedal
Final Fantasy IV - Battle Theme.
I love Final Fantasy 4
Where is this in FF4?
@@TheBanishedWindIt's not, but there are three notes in the first 6 second that sound exactly like one of the FF4 battle themes.

Amazing playing! This is one of my favorite debussy pieces.
Btw what piano model are you playing on?
Yamaha P45(also shown in Video Description)
Listen to Final Fantasy 4 Boss Theme. They aren't exactly the same but the similarities are pretty striking. This Claude guy was clearly a big fan of Nubuo Uematsu 😉
Marvellous such a nice piece isn’t it. I’ve just started learning this one do you have any advice? 🎵💙
P.s your tempo is excellent, often it’s way too fast.
Thanks! I remember I would practice just the left hand at first since it was a lot easier to miss notes on that hand when playing together
@@Gyuraffe That's great advice. The left hand is definitely quite challenging to not miss those notes when playing staccato.
The sound is beautiful and you play it well! But some rit sounds a little weird.
how long did it take you to learn this? im on month 4 and i only have 4 pages down, and my left hand is tense
NO WAY IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED
🤩
Gonna learn this wish me luck
good luck 🤞
