Ed is a national treasure, one of the truly great rock front men of all time. I loved him with LIVE and I love him solo. I saw him do an entire acoustic set live and it was amazing! The kids in the audience don't seem to realize they are listening to a legendary rock god.

Voices change over time, for sure. I think anyone who can't tell it's the same artist are missing the nuances. Studio always sounds super clean, but live isn't as controlled an environment.

I've loved this song since it's released. Originally when it released because it was beautiful, then it was because my mom loved it after her mom's (my grandma) death, then it became something we shared as I played it for her, to remind her I always there for her........ My mom longer to have a grandchild and had so many plans for her life with him, unfortunately she died shortly after he was born................... this song now affects me in a new way I never wanted to understand or appreciate, but here I am.... crying from the cruelty of our existence and the longing to have my son grow up with his grandma who longed for him, this is my burden and my responsibility now.... the lightning crashes, but the storm remains. I only hope I can do for my child what my mom did for me, but a perfect storm is rare and she was lightning in a bottle..... there is no replacing her.

Yes that's a Taylor guitar....one of the best, if not the best, acoustic guitars made. Ed's sounds amazing too. I've played several Taylor's and each time my girl has literally had to pull on my shirt and say lets go after I've played it for an hour simply because of the beautiful sound and they are so easy to play. It's like they almost play themselves lol

This song was dedicated to the victims of the Oklahoma City Bombing. Every time I hear it, I can still smell the smoke, see the carnage, and yes even the dead. I lost 2 friends, and knew 2 of the children taken away from us that day. Thank you for this song sir. It helps us remember those taken from us while they were still living.
This didn't sound right to me, so I did some research. It's not the band who dedicated the song to the victims, but a local OKC dj made a mix of the song with audio clips from that day interspersed. That's what you're thinking of, and is very sweet. Just being pedantic, not putting down your painful memory.

Yes that's a Taylor guitar....one of the best, if not the best, acoustic guitars made. Ed's sounds amazing too. I've played several Taylor's and each time my girl has literally had to pull on my shirt and say lets go after I've played it for an hour simply because of the beautiful sound and they are so easy to play. It's like they almost play themselves lol

This song was dedicated to the victims of the Oklahoma City Bombing. Every time I hear it, I can still smell the smoke, see the carnage, and yes even the dead. I lost 2 friends, and knew 2 of the children taken away from us that day. Thank you for this song sir. It helps us remember those taken from us while they were still living.

This didn't sound right to me, so I did some research. It's not the band who dedicated the song to the victims, but a local OKC dj made a mix of the song with audio clips from that day interspersed. That's what you're thinking of, and is very sweet. Just being pedantic, not putting down your painful memory.
