- In this video I (Tinne) will teach you how to make a Journal Folder. I made it with the printables of our "Dark Academia Writer" Crafting Printables Kit.
It's a project that can be made with a lot of kits from our shop or physical scrapbook paper that you already have laying around ^^
And you can use these "Dark Academia Writer" printables for an infinite amount of other crafts as well, like many of our other tutorials.

TOOLS & MATERIALS USED
✂ designs print on 160gsm (60lb cover) and 120gsm (44lb cover) paper (this can be adapted)
✂ scoring board or scoring tool (or empty pen), ruler and mat (my scoring board:
✂ ink & ink blender (optional) (I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide)
✂ heavy cardstock (300gsm / 111 lb cover)
✂ double sided tape (I used 3/8 inch (9mm) and 1/4 inch (6mm)
✂ wet glue and/or glue stick
✂ scissors and/or paper trimmer
✂ 1mm thick elastic
✂ brads
✂ corner rounder punch (optional)
✂ awl (or needle)
✂ staples
✂ 1/8 inch (3mm) hole punch
✂ small circle punch for circle closure (I used 5/8 inch - about 1.5 cm)
✂ piece of thread
✂ bone folder (optional)

Weer eens helemaal geweldig! Supermooi papier weer...staat al in mijn verlanglijstje...waarom schaf je geen verlengde nietmachine aan? Ideaal voor diep nieten om het maar even zo te noemen...
Dankjewel. Ik wil doorgaans niet teveel tools aanschaffen die crafters dan ook weer moeten aanschaffen. Ik maak het liefst tutorials die de meeste mensen kunnen maken zonder allerlei nieuwe tools te moeten kopen.

This is really, really nice! I'm going to use my Writer's Nook papers again. Just a question: why do I need to make the envelope out of 2 pieces of cardstock?

The cover is already pretty sturdy. Maybe a layer of glaze or Mod Podge could help protect the cover from dirt, but I haven't tried it.
J'ai une question ! Tous les fichiers on doit les imprimer en US Letter ou on peut aussi en A4 comme je suis en Suisse ? Et comment doit-on faire en A4 pour que tout soit au bonne dimension 🤔 . Merci, à bientôt
I myself live in Belgium and can only print in A4 as well. When I want the whole design to print I set the settings to "fit to page" (for example the journal pages), if I'm ok with losing a piece of the design I print at 100%

Tinne, what kind of glue stick do you use? I've tried the Elmer's and the pages fall off when it dries 😮
Hmm, I never used Elmer's (I don't think we can get that here). I use Pritt, a very well known brand in Belgium.
