    They're pretty much the exact same motion, though for the crossover, you should actually cross your arms. They can be done low, mid, and high, just like the flys

    This is working bottom chest (decline) because cables from top...for chest flys you would set cables middle...for incline set cables on the bottom

      I know old comment but I've had the exact same problem, never been able to activate chest with bench press no matter how much I tried. Cable crossovers are smashing it now though 😁

    Agreed on a few of the comments. One thing i tell everyone. Pick a point high up to focus on. This keeps the chin up and in turn helps keep a straight back. Keep the abbs tight. And i would not go so far back in the movement. This can damage the shoulder and is little benifit to the chest. The most important part of this exercise is the squeeze and hold at the end. Not the best instructual video. But at least instead of complaini g about peoples videos he has made the effort to make one.

    This is actually a cable fly. For a crossover you just CROSS your hands OVER the midline.

    Are you saying that the cable crossover is a bad exercise then? I just started doing them. I read elsewhere that these are even better for your chest than dumbbells. It is interesting that he's not crossing over in this video. Even thought it's called "cable crossover."

    Dude, you also neglected to tell viewers the importance of engaging their abdominals to stabilize their spine, and to pull shoulders down to avoid using traps. Which most people do, in order to use more weight. Cable Flyes is correct name for this demo.

    We were always taught to bend the knee`s and keep the legs level, head up, less chance of damaging your lower spine once you start doing the larger weights.

    For all the ' know-it-alls' commenting... the dude is articulate, being straight forward and diciplined. This vid is for advanced body-builders AND 'dummies' alike.
    The 'cross-over' in the name refers to crossing the centerline of the deltoid group, not 'crossing your hands, boneheads.
    This IS the correct way of doing cable crossovers. Many of you have no idea of how badly you can injure yourself when doing some of these things incorrectly.
    Carry on livestrong. Nicely done.

    Cross your arms, hugely hugely important, I do two sets on medium height and two high, and don’t lean forward, or else you’ll be working your shoulders instead

    This is not cable crossover this is pectoral fly. You even made a vid about that: czcams.com/video/Z57CtFmRMxA/video.html It's the exact same motion. Cable crossover requires you to cross the cables tightening the chest as you do that.
