  • More FOOD Production in the FUTURE? We have purchased a second 7 foot high sidewall high tunnel/greenhouse from Grower's Solution. We were so PLEASED with the results of the first greenhouse that we wanted a second one. With the weather anomolies and climate change, grand solar minimum and food shortages, we are actively looking for new ways to continue to grow our own food.
Grower's Solution is your GREENHOUSE Solution. Check out their greenhouse kits and other gardening products:

WOW this is wonderful for you 2. We are also on a hillside, all 10 1/2 acre's. Working on our garden for the last 1 1/2 week's. Building raised bed's so seed's and plant's don't get washed down hill from all the rain we're having. Our greenhouse we're building is a home made one and it's sunken into the hillside. Would love to have a nice big one like your's but this will work very well. Love watching and learning, thank's. Stay safe and healthy. God bless

I wish i had enough land to put up a foreal greenhouse. I habe a 10 ×20 ftame for a greenhouse but i cant keep any plastic on it year round because it doesn't have any vents so it's really just a tunnel. It really helps with my tropical plants but i have to take the plastic off by early March because of too much heat

I just got a small fig tree! It was used to being in a green house. I planted it outside in a sheltered area and covered it at night as well, just in case. But it's leaves are getting 'crispy' and turning brown. The day after I got it. Anyone know? Maybe transplanting it did something. I researched and one said too much water and the other site said too little!?

Thank you for the video. It is always a great idea to improve upon anything you can to increase food production. Plants and green house looks great. To bad the heat is an enemy to the crops. Rattlesnake beans look yummy. Surely don't want any water problems.

I have never heard of Rattlesnake beans. If I send you a stamped addressed envelope cold you send me a dozen or so seeds. Right noe I have Mountaineer Half runners and they have a big string down each side and the awfulritus in my hands really makes me suffer. We are in South Louisiana where I grow what I can in the back yard. I love your channel and have learned a lot. My fav is your porch talks. May the Lord bless you both.

I was wondering, if you had pomegranates, and there you go, lol! Those are hard to come by and expensive, another cash crop opportunity. Of course, I'm with Miss Wanda and would have no problem eating them all on my own, lol. Congratulations on the fruitful success of your labor, well deserved.

Interesting! I thought that you guys were going to wait until the Fall to erect the new greenhouse. But no matter. It will be a great comparison between the two structures to see what works and what doesn’t!
You have just about convinced me to pull the trigger with Growers Solutions even though I’m concerned about wind and snow load and had been looking at another company. Prices seems about the same between the two companies, so we will see.
Quick question, did you look into the grant program to help pay for the greenhouses?
Anyway, looking forward to the new build!

I cant wait to see the finished project!
I traded some heirloom tomato seed for some rattlesnake pole beans about 2008 and they quickly became my favorite pole bean. For fresh eating and the dried bean is a great pinto bean for refried beans. I just got mine soaking to go out in the garden today.
I also grow purple podded pole beans and between the two they fill up my freezer and my belly!
I do grow others on a rotation tho so that I have the seed fresh. Kentucky wonder and Anasazi and a very old one I haven't been able to find again and I had lost the seed to-but I finally found my seed and it is old but cross your fingers I got about 4 plants to sprout. It's a yellow wax pole called yellow pencil. Long straight bright yellow pods that make a black shiny bean. If they do good they will be left for seed stock.
Lastly I like the Cherokee trail of tears pole bean too but we mainly grow them for the black kidney shaped beans inside. I dont care for regular kidney beans but these are really good in chili and soup.
Your little spaghetti squash are doing so well. I used to grow that small wonder one myself but no one in the area carried seeds any longer. They were the perfect size for my mother and mother in law. And you are right they are prolific only 4 plants would give us plenty to share and eat. I've got Hoss tools bookmarked for seed next winter. My family give me money for my garden fund for holiday and birthday they know my obsession lol.
