Because we had limited draftpicks? And if we drafted a LT instead of Polk you would be posting this question... "why doesn't this team take wide receiver seriously? It's a multi year rebuild we will draft a LT in 1 or 2 next year or sign one, if Wallace doesn't work out. But he very well might work out. I'm not sure why you think spending an early top 5 pick in the 3rd round to cover the position is considered not taking the position seriously

He said when pads go on “if he’s beating.” The top defense part though - that will ring true or close. I don’t think people understand what Gonzo is going to be. He’s going to be a top 3 corner in the entire league. This will allow the other corners together better matchups and when you add in the leap Duggar took and then what Mali could be…you have a top 5 secondary. And we haven’t even mentioned the D Line which will also be greatly improved now that Uche and Jennings made their jumps.
