- We gotta get Dave to the hospital! He may have lost his mind..
While I generally think an ambulance can be a risky proposition for a camper conversion project sometimes the right deal just comes along. Quite often they a high-mileage, hard driven rigs that have seen better days . This older, low-mileage rig has 4WD, a gasoline motor and a high quality box construction that made this one to tempting for Dave to pass up.
Check out the work in progress and see for yourself what can be done given the right tools and time to dedicate towards customizing a platform like this into whatever you want it be.

Great build, Dave. Well thought out.
Thank you!
Great build! Lots of work and I really appreciate your creativity and labor. I never thought of adjusting the steps! Also love the roll out couch.
Thanks Victoria! We invite you to see our updates for additional information and ideas. Our latest shows further detail and we did to modify that couch into a dinette.
Great walk through.... Wow.
Ambulance school bus vehicles are always a good watch. Especially ambulance🚑.
They are great vehicles because all is ready for electrical oxygen space and compartments in & outside vehicle
We feel neither is something to rush into but if you find a good platform with relatively easy miles they have great potential. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Lovely job, great attention to detail.
Thank you very much!

Dave sure knows his stuff. My ambulance is at max for weight so I was told I couldn't tow with it. Would like to see how the hitch works out.
The weight when he purchased it was 10,500 lbs. He actually weighed it today with the most recent appliances an furniture added and it was 11,040lbs. Net gain of 500 lbs that is well distributed is barely noticed going down the road. Dave has also towed his buggy to Utah already and he said he barely noticed it was there. Latest update video will be shot in about week so stayed tuned.
Next time bring a light

Love this and I've done tons of research. I'm trying to decide, I live in Alaska so it must be stealthy and safe. How much would you sell it for? Can't hurt to ask (I hope)
Don't think Dave would part with it but it'll be a few more days before I am back in town and can touch base with him. Will follow-up at that time.
Compost toilets do not compost, unless you plan on carrying it around for 6 months or longer.

Where did you find your fold out bed/couch for your Ambulance Build ? I am soon going to be purchasing a retired Ambulance to convert into a tiny home on wheels, and your little fold out couch/bed would be perfect for my bed set up.
It cam e from Rec Pro Kevin.
