- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with reporters in Caraquet, NB yesterday where he was asked about scrapping the carbon tax for the summer so Canadians can travel as Pierre has requested, but Trudeau says Pierre just wants to see Canada "burn" because he doesn't believe in the carbon tax. What do you think of Trudeau's response here?

Canada has been burnt to the point of desertification in the last 8 years by corruption in the name of fixing climate change. Can you stop the forest fires by taxing and then providing rebates that equate to a null solution? Where are the Canadian scientific communities, the engineers and innovators with solutions gone? Canada needs a more practical solution and not a tax fix for climate change. Pleasing the world is not the priority at this time. The overspending and extreme debt caused by this government is a cause of worry for future generations. If the Liberal-NDP coalition think they can recover the debt by taxing the commoners and then gaining their votes by rebates, they are playing a very dangerous game. This time of economic downturn is the worst time to hike such taxes and play this game. Consider it game over!

No money is given back…I’m a middle income Canadian and I haven’t received a dime, and even if I did, the carbon tax applies to everything we buy…everything…the Parliamentary Budget Office does not take into account the tax that applies at EVERY level, at every stage of manufacturing and production process, and the tax is taxed. Trudeau must think Canadians are uninformed or stupid even. Trudeau needs to go.

Last year, spent about $1000.00 for gas only.
My first rebate was $140.00. $140.00 x 4 = $ 560.00, so it must be clear to all Canadians
that $ 560.00 must be more that $ 1000.00, as according to Mt.Trudeau's math.

Canada tends to import more than export now days because things are expensive as hell everyone is being overtaxed right across the board. your rebates are a joke my wife got a big check 179 last year every 3 months. she is a in home caregiver has to drive her car so we figure it out see spent over 500 last year just in fuel carbon tax and not including all the other stuff we are taxed on also your a goof you have not dropped emissions at all in fact they are going up.
