I don't know if you guys can Lucas Papaw Papaw Lip Ointment where you are. But I have used this for years. Everyone swears by it and have multiple. Works on certain wounds too!! Baby lips also made my lips terrible!

I don't think you understand what animal testing is... They don't put lip balm on a rabbit. Specific ingredients would be tested on them prior to manufacture.
maybelline tests their products on animals, it’s stupid because there are so many alternative ways to test make up and that’s why I don’t buy their products anymore

Rachel Ann Wells from experience working in the food industry, they would throw anything that's not perfect away for health and safety purposes, but if the workers are anything like us they'd keep a few when their managers aren't looking

I wonder if they might scrape the product out of the tube and add it to the bulk formula step, so that a good batch of formula isn't wasted? It would also potentially produce less waste!

Almost like the gross formula made me more aware that my lips were chapped instead of taking it away and then dried it out some more. And those bright ass neon colors looked like trash on my dark skin. So yea, all around failure. -10/10; would not repurchase 👎🏾

Aleen A Thanks for your reply, but kindly understand my whole point here is “testing on animals”. Whether it is done in “not much” ways, a testing on animals is a testing on animals. To which is very un-necessary. Animals are not here to be tested on for whatever reason just so humans can be “safe ahead”. Why not have it tested on a human straight away since it’s for our consumption? But you see, this is WHERE THE DIFFERENCE COMES IN WHEN IT COMES TO “TESTING OUT” products: Humans has the voice to say “Yes” or “No” (to which I’m pretty sure humans will say, and most DEFINITELY, will say “No!” should a product be tested on them. You know, that “protocol” testing where the animals are given sedatives out of their free will, being tied up, chained down, injected needles and different kinds of apparatus being screwed here and there their insides ). While animals are SILENT VICTIMS. No one wants the feeling of getting hurt may it be us, humans or animals. And that “feelings of fleshly hurt, physical pain” IS MORE THAN ENOUGH REASON TO THINK DEEPLY AND GREATLY ABOUT ANIMAL TESTINGS.
Nothing “not really much” or “too much” is when it comes to feeling physical pain. They are animals, and yes, they may not be able to talk. But just like you and me and the rest of all other human beings around the world, animals too, HAVE SOULS. And having a soul means HAVING LIFE.
Like Aleen said, they only test out new products on animals. Also ALL medicine you are given when you’re sick has been tested on animals as part of a clinical trial. My point is, testing on animals is absolutely necessary when ingredients that aren’t 100% derived from nature are used in makeup or medicine or hair products etc.
Also, I think that testing on humans first is virtually impossible because no one would participate in a clinical trial knowing that this product has never been tested before on anything or anyone.
If it was possible though, then many participants may suffer from allergic reactions or even death.

Katerineee Rees Well you shouldn't use them, the ingredients are beyond crappy. They do not only do NOTHING for dry lips, they might also harm your body. Paraffinum (Mineral Oil) etc. Educate yourself on this.

eos does contain beeswax as well as burt's bees but it's nothing to be afraid of unless you're a hardcore vegan. i believe they both don't test on animals but i might be mistaken

Probably skipped the part where they add microscoic shredded glass in the balm because these balms scrape and dry out the lips like hell after 10 minutes of smearing this on. They make the lips feel so uncomfortable and super dry afterwards that u need to keep reapplying. #MyConspiracyAllegedly

There are plenty of articles about this, but apparently you feel the need to keep reapplying because of the petrolatum in the balm. It's used to give the balm that solid, waxy stick form and works more as a protective barrier on top of another nourishing balm as opposed to just sitting on the lips alone. Of course this can vary from person to person, but that's why you gotta keep reapplying haha.
