  • What is Telnet? What is SSH? Telnet a terminal emulation program that is used to access remote servers. It's a simple, command line tool that runs on your computer and it will allow you to send commands remotely to a server and administer server just as if you were sitting in front it.

Because the primary role of schooling is not to educate, but to churn out economically productive members of society. The pursuit of pure knowledge is the most noble of pursuits; learning things for no reason other than to Know.
I learned more in my free time than I ever did in School.

Figuring out how to use Telnet to watch that "secret" Star Wars ASCII animation is one of my earliest memories of fiddling around with computers as a kid - was probably 8 or 9 at the time. Thanks for the awesome videos, think I'll try to learn as much as I can with them, as I'm remembering how it felt to discover world of computers and technology growing up. If only other fields of study had such well made presentations easily available - they make learning the material so much simpler and faster.
